  1. just spray your clubface with foot powder… works the same as tape, but foot spray is cheaper.

  2. Chris is amazing. Makes things simple and fun. His attitude is incredible and infectious. So good to see how much he has done for golf all around the world. Really cool to see you share your voyage to scratch. You are definitely on the fast track !

  3. Chris is rockstar. Simplicity is the key and understanding cause and effect. So happy you’ve transitioned.

  4. Dude, that tempo work is showing some significant progress already. You were really striping a lot of those iron shots. You're definitely on the right track!

  5. Great drill will definitely use it. My miss is a little low and on the toe. Makes me block it 20-30yds right. Be honest you went with him hoping to meet Claire 😂 congrats on hitting 20k bro

  6. While there are many professional players that hit a fade, I think they all learned to hit from the inside and hit a draw when they were younger. I think this is what Mike Wydra was trying to get you to do first before moving on to anything else.

I think there is a difference between trying to get a swing motion that you can bring to the golf course, and getting a swing motion that will set you up for long term success. This guy Chris is trying to get you repeatable enough to play on the golf course, but you need to be able to come at it from the inside and compress it for longer term success.

You need to be able to view yourself like an independent observer in this game. You are very up and down with your emotions on whether you hit a good shot or a not so good shot. You played basketball. When a good player misses a free throw do you see them flail around in disgust? No, they ask for the ball again because dammit, they are going to make the next one.

The game cannot be played with hope and fear. You are learning.

  7. Liked Mike, but it’s most important to find the coach that suites your style! Chris is another great coach and hoping he will take your game to the next level. Great start and can’t wait for more!!!

  8. Dude this coach is exactly what you needed! Best swings Ive seen are from this lesson. Mike was amazing but too much information and lists for a beginner golfer. Hopefully Chris will fix that takeaway soon.

  9. Coach Chris is the best! Whether it’s in person lessons at Stadium Golf, his short game area or virtual he knows how to spot a problem and fix it! He’s great with kids which some coach’s don’t have that gift.

  10. Jérôme for you to be playing without driver up to this point is going to be exactly how you needed to develop. Mike gave you so many fundamentals. Now you need to step back and try to take in the other part of his instruction. Tempo is the perfect meditation for you to slow your judgmental and pressured thoughts.
You brought so many advanced fundamentals to Chris that all he had to do is get you give yourself time to execute and to take a moment to let down at the end of your swing.
Suddenly being a YouTube star was pressure enough!
Mike rightfully gave you the correct building blocks now tempo and taking a moment at the end of each swing to relax and enjoy!

  11. Wow! One of your best performances ever. I couldn't believe how well you were hitting the middle of the club so many times in a row. You must have been really happy! I hope you will do more videos with Chris. I lived there, I would definitely work with him. I was bummed that we didn't see the driver this time, but I get it. Great video and thank you for the amazing content.

  12. Damn son. Rippin em. Thank god you got away from golfec! This coach seems perfect for you.

  13. Thank you for showing us your lessons. It’s cool to hear how other coaches teach. I started at a golf tech and luckily love the whole analytic numbers thing but always wondered how a lesson at the range would be like.

  14. So you know, this lesson is more of a bandaid fix to getting you hit the ball better with your current swing. You have lot of fundamental issues in your swing that'll make it difficult to find consistency in the long run. You need to learn the proper take away and back swing that gets you on plane and sets you up for the rest of the swing before anything. You're just ingraining poor habits

  15. Rarely do I ever see a video address the issues I've been dealing with in my own swing. Thank you. I can't wait to try the tempo and ball strike drill.

  16. I love how Chris taught you the fast, slow, slow, fast drill. I am going to practice that too. I also like how he talked about how pros with their left hand hold their clubs and how they swing for practice as a way to get their feel.

  17. Dude I freakin love this lesson. I had one like this regarding tempo and made my swing feel soooo much lighter. I notice now too if I’m having contact issue it is because my tempo is off. I played yesterday and around hole 15 I noticed I was rushing and then took some time to take a few practice swings using this example and was fine the rest of the round.

  18. Your going to be a very good golfer very quickly, great chose of coach as well.
So jealous as simply can't afford lessons very regularly here in the UK, £ 60 an hour here

  19. Jerome, I continue to feel like we are on a similar path to learning. My comfort ratings are virtually the same as yours and we share many of the same swing faults. I’m just 35 years or so older than you, lol. 😂

  20. Amazing progress just in one lesson – that is epic. And thank you so much for filming it and bringing us along for the journey.

Just one very small comfort tip – your bag straps are adjusted way too long. The thick padded part is supposed to be over your shoulders. I can't imagine how uncomfortable just having that braided nylon on your shoulders would be for a full round!

  21. Fast – slow – slow – Fast….too many thoughts there. The pupil is way too fast on the backswing. By picking the club up immediately before anything else creates too much misdirected speed. He'd be better off trying the 'Caddie drag' as espoused by Gregg McHatton. This would help develop better tempo and a more one piece take away.

  22. Jerome, I like the coach you have chosen. Unsure about the putting thus far, I think the one you had was great and if possible and cheap enough, you should use them both. Chris is definitely a good coach from what I am seeing and hearing. He definitely sounds like he knows what he is doing and saying and is easy to understand. I think he will definitely help you get to your end goal very soon.
