  1. Big golf fan here, Brooks has been my favorite player for quite some time. To me, it doesn't matter what tour he is on, I will tune in. I enjoy watching LIV and I also enjoy watching PGA Tour events and watching great golf. Maybe I am just a golf sicko, but I just enjoy watching high level golf. And the team aspect of LIV is kind of intriguing, since high school and college is played as a team and individual as well. To me, they can and should co-exist.

  2. It's about the majors. Pure and simple because those who argue that Jack is still "better" than Tiger all say, "18 majors beats 15." They don't mention Tigers 82 Tour wins, more than Jack's total. So we can't start revisionist history games now with Brooks and overinflate Tour wins to discredit him. Because then we have to go back to the Jack/Tiger debate.

  3. If LIV players aren’t in Ryder it’s meaningless.
Should be like the majors, pick the best players on the planet irrespective of which tour

  4. Gary PLAYER around
    160 WINS !
Brooks won't loose sleep not playing in that exhibition match. No problem with our friends the Saudi's, they are very big in horse racing here and worldwide.

  5. Brooks should be in the Ryder Cup…Period. Moreover, anyone USA Professional Golf that earn his way in; moreover, he should be considered REGARDLESS of the tour they play on. All this Saudi crap is pure BS…given the investment Public Investment Fund has invested in. The PGA Tour and those that make such an argument are stupid idiots!

  6. Once you win 4 or 5 majors, people will always assess your career through the lens of major tallies. No one ever discusses Tom Watsons career in terms of his 5 shot victory at the 1977 Quad Cities Open.

  7. Great take on the faux outrage by the PGA Tour and media outlets.
The women's tour was featured last weekend on the Golf Channel sponsored by Aramco at the Trump GC in Florida.

  8. The nature of golf is systematically corrupted. LIV players in five years will be eligible for nothing, unless they’ve actually won a major. I have a hard time believing that great players, such as Taylor, Gooch, and many other live players do not belong. Until the world golf, ranking system is disconnected from the royal and ancient and the PGA tour live players will be a dying breed. I’m clearly there more than capable to play at a world stage.

  9. Come off it. 100% payment from LIV isn’t the same as a convoluted corporate sponsorship. Or taking an Uber. Get a grip.
