Napoli are finally back on top of the Italian football pyramid – Serie A champions 2023! S.S.C. Napoli means everything to the city of Naples and years of financial stability and long-term planning from owner Aurelio De Laurentiis have made that incredible success possible. After the golden years of Diego Maradona in the 1980s, Napoli entered a dark period which eventually saw them bankrupt and relegated to the third division. How did they make it back to the top? This is the REAL Napoli story!
Can they maintain their position and herald a golden era? Can Napoli outclass the likes of Juventus and Milan for years to come? Tell us what you think in the comments…

We are the ss Napoli
Don’t forget to give Victor Osimhen his credit. He did it for Napoli! All hail Victor Osimhen !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is important to understand than Napoli is the biggest city in Europe with an only city in first division and the identity of the city is mixed with team.
How come they paid 12 million for Maradona back in 1984 ? Cmon Italian people when did you start to use 💶?😂😂😂😂😂😂
The Kingdom of Naples was the world's 3rd richest empire before 1861. In that year the Savoia family from Turin colonized the South with bribes to the military and police, they then proceeded to dismantle the factories and moved them up north, they closed the schools, raped the women and killed all the "Briganti" from the South. To this day they don' let us develop to steal all of our resources and labour.
diego prob coking in hell atm
I love Napoli❤❤❤❤!!!!
After watching this documentary, I feel like to visit Naples
From Napoli supporter: great video, thanks a lot. On the technical point we cannot say one player over the others, honestly everybody contributed in his role a lot and it was a real lovely concert. Of course, the forward Osimenh, Kvara, were more on the stage but in the midfield Lobotka was so important to tune the music and in the rear side Di Lorenzo, Kim and the goalkeeper Alex Meret was faboulous….but all players were great…I will never forget the goals of Raspadori against Spezia and Juventus (both in the extra time) or Politano and Lozano running and running , of the giant Anguissa….and Rrahamni….its was a real tem victory…they are in our hearts forever 💙💙💙
I've always seen the Italian influence in Argentina. Now I see the reverse. 🤌
Unfortunately, enough wasn't said about the Star Boy Oshimen.
I wasted my time watching this
Dear DW Team esp. Sebastian Saam, my heartfelt Thanks for this insightful, respectful, empathetic report on Napoli and how deeply rooted the team is in the people and thus how much it matters to win this Scudetto. As Napoletano born and raised in Germany, until recently, all you got to see and hear about the town, the people, the club was underwhelming. We struggle because we feel misunderstood and underrated. We thus need to compensate and find strength within ourselves. The Scudetto is like the best acknowledgement thinkable. Forza Napoli sempre. 💙💙💙 💚🤍❤
GRAZIE RAGAZZI
FORZA NAPOLI SEMPRE
Nice Documentary!
If they sell Victor to Chelsea for 150 million Euros, they can get money to buy other players too for the long run and If they won't sell him then, may be they should increase his pay and his contract
Napoli makes me to love soccer since 2019.
Awesome video, grazie!!
I was happy for Elmas scoring goals, after watching the video I am happy because I am alive. Respect for Neapol!
Amigos Napolitanos, Murio Diego y volvieron a ser Campeones!!! …de paso, Argentina tambien volvio a ser campeon del Mundo…Coincidencia? O la mano de Dios presente?
Congratulation Napoliiiii …
To remain on top, Napoli must not sell any player for now.
Good song choice
It funny napoli is the reason maradona left the city, the whole city hated him cause he knocked out italy in the naples stadium against argentina on penalties.
One thing I admire about Napoli's matches is their team spirit.
Kudos to the coach for his sportsmanship spirit inherently infused as practised by the footballers.
I appreciate the efforts of Di Lorenzo who superheaded the team; Osihmen for his spectacular touches that so far produced the most goals of the season; the powerful "K.K.77" for his tremendous inputs especially, in creating avenues for goals to be scored ɓy Osihmen, others and himself inclusive; our own Kim for keeping an eagle's eye on their opponents especially the strikers; Anguissa and others whose performances are extremely valuable.
Thanks for the success teamly achieved.
Kim?
The second half of this season proved to be much more complicated than the first half for Napoli because the big teams like Milan, Inter and Juve started to improve. I am a big Napoli tifoso but a realist, no way we can win it again. The sad reality is that money buys big time players and as good as Napoli players are, they will need better players to compete with the big teams. Not many, but some key players in defense, midfield and attack. I may be wrong and hope to be wrong…. time will tell like it always does. Meanwhile: VIVA NAPOLI!!!!
What an awesome Mayor!😤
SERIE A ITS BACK !
Napoli ❤
If they keep their model and hang on to Spalletti then there is no reason they can't keep going and winning trophies 👍🏼✅
"Perhaps not the most technical player"…why even say that
Someone give Spaletti his Fiat Panda back.
Grazie per il video, un abbraccio forte da un tifoso del Napoli.
Vi aspettiamo così festeggiamo insieme 💙💙
always wanted to visit Naples, its got that blue collar city feel with a lot of history
There will be documentary for this 😊
Napoli has a bad rep as a city to visit. This might change it a little bit.
You did a good job but saying Victor Osimhen is not technically sound as a player is an understatement…
What do you call a player with consistency for 3 seasons in Italy, Napoli was a runner up 3x with Osimhen which was a difficult task to achieve before his arrival.
Next time, give him some accolades as you did to your fellow over hyped players
This is why you say NO to any Super League idea.Never compromise the competitiveness of the sport by thinking you can earn a profit. Sports are for the people and are woven into the culture and community, not for corporations to exploit their fans
Viva Napoli.
what a beautiful homage and breakdown of the modern history of napoli. From a Mexican thank you so much for treating chucky so well and hopefully napoli keeps the winning streak going.
12 milion euros for Maradona, is this the conversion from LIRE to nowadays euro? Because it was like 15 years before euro arrived in Italy, i remember in Napoli (of course in all italy) euro arrived in 2002… Just asking to understand better 🙂
KIM MIN JAE. Napoli would have never won without him.
Next stop : Uefa champions league..
FORZA NAPOLI 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
Grazie —- thank you …exstraordinary documentary !
