  1. Literally watching this after struggling on the range the other day and my first tee time in a year ! Perfect timing !

  2. I'm not sure if this is a golf instruction video or a "S#%t my golf instructor says" video.

  3. Mike is truly a professor and coach. His suggestions are so spot on but coming at you a little to fast for you to execute on camera. Even though this is a city dump your getting laser cut advice and methods. So many beautiful courses near San Diego. This content really is too good for this backdrop. Can you talk mike into meeting you elsewhere?

  4. Huge amount of great info from Mike. Bit of a shame about the ball collector noise.

  5. Fantastic video ! Didn’t get the details on how to hit the lob. Is it simply the “normal” wedge shot with an open face ? Same ball position? Is club handle pointing at belt buckle ? Thanks !

  6. Wow I’m loving the information Mike is giving out, it’s pure gold. Are all the videos labelled, as in 1, 2, 3 etc.

  7. Great idea to have the ball collection machine going at the same time ha ha. It was like going to the Ballet with a bulldozer on stage.

  8. Tell me you were not ready to tie that ball guy to his tractor, send him out in the range and make him target practice, ok I'm kidding, but only a little. I'm surprised the voice in the video came out as well as it did, but it makes following the instruction crazy difficult.

  9. Maybe, just maybe you could book a lesson when they aren't dumping balls. Just sayin'. The info here is great by the way.

  10. It's like finding the Bernstein Room in a trailer park… really good content brought to you in the shittiest backyard range anybody has ever seen…

  11. I don't want to say everything he said is crap, but especially on the lob/flop shots when the instructor hit the ball he 100% "scooped". Watch slow motion and you can see his wrists are straight at impact and he essentially slides the face under the ball… which is how you hit flop shots. You have to use wrist. That is why they're so hard to hit for non-professionals. Without a ton of practice using that much wrist is very inconsistent.

Also, that bs he said about standing up? Watch when he swings, he literally goes closer to the ground with his upper body on the down swing and only comes up after he's made contact… again, how it's supposed to happen.

He might be talking about feel vs real, but that is definitely not what's actually happening.

  12. That is a lot of information for a beginner, I always taught to keep weight on left side all the way thru impact, no wrist, shoulders closed on impact. This is awesome info, but to many things to digest especially for a beginner

  13. Ignore the comments about the practice range you are on, what's beautiful is the information you are receiving. The beauty of a range or course is lost after a few bad holes or practice shots.

  14. This guy is a great teacher and how much are his lessons? The ball collector noise in unbearable and this range should be closed for repairs. If Mike is charging you lots of $$$, you should demand you go to a better range.

  15. Not a fan of the gripping down 😢
Way easier to just swing a smaller arc, or swing slower.
It also screws up swing weight, low point etc
