Well done micah finally someone with the balls to go for it,if you don't try you will always wonder what if? If you don't make it your young enough to try again.good luck really looking forward to seeing your progress 😉
Last year I was hoping I would make the final 4 grouping in our club championships which i did, this year I told myself I was going to win, I won! lol…. The mind is a powerful thing! Micah go win the Open!!
Love to hear you address the "Micah isn't grateful/doesn't realize that he would've been nothing without Garrett." I didn't ever think you were so haughty, but it's good to hear you mention Garrett and GG in a tone of appreciation and fondness that we haven't heard in a minute.
On to the Open! I'd love nothing more than to see you playing in this tournament and being able to say "I remember when that guy was running across a par 4 because his friend aced it, and when he played a par 3 course with a frying pan, and look at him now!"
Micah, First off I wanna say good luck to you. I have been following since the very beginning of GM golf and watching you and Garrett grow in the sport. That leads into my second comment. I don’t know what happened between you and good good, and frankly, it’s none of our business. But to see family just drop each other publicly, like a hot potato really hurt me deep down. When Covid first started and you guys got stuck at Purcell farms it was such an awesome way for me to watch and help distract from what was really going on in the world at that time. When it was no longer the case that you guys were together, it hit differently. So to hear you mention, and give praise to Garrett, no matter how small, is awesome. Good luck to you man. I hope your dreams come true and you end up golfing. In all the venues you want. I’ll be watching.
Well if you can't beat Grant then you most likely will not make it past the first round of qualifying. HOWEVER hope you prove everyone wrong and can do it, and like you said it will be a learning experience 👍
You want to truly play your best golf? Learn Who You Are has a golfer and as a person. Are you a risk-taker? Are you risk-averse? Are you aggressive or are you passive whatever it is find that way to play. It really doesn't matter if you want to bomb it and gouge it or play to the center of the greens of the center of the fairways whatever it is knowing what you're trying to do and just owning it is more important than trying to be what someone else thinks you should be. As a golfer you really have to find your way and it's a lot of trial-and-error the same way it was in learning your Technique. Now you have to find your mental approach

Please take this advice….
Go earlier if possible… Links golf in the UK is simply different, it takes some getting used to for every single level of player.
Good luck, I'm rooting for you.

Which venue will you be trying to qualify at? I live close to one of them, and a member at another links course nearby if you want some practice??

Micah – you are good enough. Bring your A game and a slot awaits. Remember – drive for show, putt for doe!
Links golf, ain't Parkland. Just saying.
If you know where you're planning to play your qualifier, let me know and I can likely get you a practise round
Good luck Micah! Just don’t call it the “British Open” over here 😂 the “The Open”… 2 iron will get a true work out on the Lincs

So do you have a mental coach?
A short game coach?
Maybe a scoring coach?
Which venue do you think you'll be playing at on the 26th? Best of luck
I wish you the best on your journey and appreciate you bringing us on this journey watching your grind is inspiring beyond belief
Awesome! Good luck👍
What course are you entered into for the first qualifying event?
Yes! Great to hear
