Murphy never ever accepts criticism… He believes he’s above criticism. I used to like him but the more I hear him the more I dislike his manner. Good player on the table not so nice off it.
So the most honest and real players are now the most disliked, the world has gone to shit. If he was licking everybody’s ass, he’d still be disliked. Some people are very odd, they can hear a tone/accent and they jump to assumptions.
I don’t know what’s more telling about Shaun Murphy’s character here – the obnoxiousness he displays towards the interviewer, or the fact that he makes a point of saying ‘Sir’ Nick Faldo.
It's an absolute tragedy that the game of snooker has to suffer the fool that Shaun Murphy is. Ranting about amateurs, moaning about other players conduct (mainly Ronnie) which is clearly out on complete jealousy, and now criticising journalists. More recently accusing the ref of the changing the balls when he was messing up basic shots playing Si. Loved seeing Si put him out of the world championships, only downside is I have to listen to his constant rambling commentary. The guy takes himself way too seriously and needs to shut up and stop making a fool out of himself.

I think Murphy has a form of Asbergers. He struggles to have any kind of conversion with people. Plonker.
