    He said that he has asked for flat and fast wickets. Isn't that tampering with the conditions???

    One thing for sure, England have plenty of fast bowling options in this Ashes Series. At home obviously England have a much more potent bowling attack than Australia. ENG – Jimmy Anderson, Stuart Broad, Matthew Potts, Ollie Robinson, Mark Wood, Jofra Archer perhaps, Craig Overton, Jamie Overton, Chris Woakes maybe,

    I cannot wait for this series! Two excellent teams, both on a great run of form, going head on. It's not often both teams leading up to an Ashes series are on form, and that's what makes this incredibly fascinating

    Great to ask if the ashes matters to the players but there’s no question it means most to cricket fans in the 2 countries

    Pretty worried that Archer just won't be fit as he's missing IPL games through injury right now. Even if we get him he'll probably be second guessing his own fitness. We want a fully fit Archer to knock Steve Smith's heed off but it looks like it's not gonna happen.

    Very excited for Ashes 2023. Brendon McCullum, Ben Stokes and Co. are looking really good this time. Plus it’s in England, so the hosts have to be the favourites to win… an exciting summer for the English Cricket team. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🙌

    Bazball essentially having the confidence to take unconventional risks which means by its very nature means its low percentage cricket. Its great viewing and fantastic for test cricket because it will eliminate boring draws but will be interesting to see if Stokes really will risk it all for win.

    The starting eleven should be determined by form, fitness, and the pitch on which the first test match is to be played. If Ben Stokes knows his starting eleven right now he is making a judgement that is wrong.

    Not the least of the problems with the starting eleven is the uncertainty over whether Stokes himself will be able to fulfill the role of fourth pace bowler. The evidence at present is that he won't be able to do so

    You could tell from Stokes' response to the Archer question that he worried about the latter fitness. I cant wait for the series and really hope Archer plays a part in a thumping English victory, but judging by this I have my doubts he'll get through a test
