Those openers from EJ on this episode gave such awesome energy, absolutely killed it!
Sean Tucker is so slept on in the rankings i’m seeing thank you Brett
Im liking tank dell
Thank you I needed this positional evaluation about strength
Drew Sanders could be like a Micah Parsons guy imo
Bro they really must not know about Bryce Young. If he was 6 foot people would call him the best player hands down at QB and the clear one. I also think Fields would be the QB 2-4 imo. However it’s debatable to put him above the other 4. So you’d much rather acquire a ton of picks.
Cristian Gonzalez is getting buzz to NE at #14?!? Most mocks I've seen have him going at #6 or #7! Maybe NE could get the last option from Gonzalez, Witherspoon and Porter at #14, but I think there's a decent shot that all 3 are gone before then.
Intrigued by your opinion that LB is deep… so far all I've heard is that there are 3, or maybe 4 that might go before round 3.
steelers need simpson like cowboys needed parsons
Excellent content and graphics boys 💯 Keep killing it!
Wouldn't put the bucs in "trade the farm for a super bowl" category because most of that super bowl team was built through the draft and then players signed in free agency. Wasn't like the rams, browns or broncos trading picks for high level players
The Bills could use another edge, RB, CB, LB, TE, and interior OL too. And a complementary WR too. Need an OT most, but those other positions require depth and along with S are the positions we most need to look at.
Comparing this class to 2011… you are wildin
EJ: "Nolan Smith will not wow you with measurables"…. cut to post NFL Combine. Proven wrong sir
I think DT just looks weak because there is such a gap to me between Jalen Carter and the second best DT. Although I think Mazi is dang talented.
It is hard for me to see guys like Daniel Jeremiah removing Jalen Carter as his number 1 prospect because it means he is not letting the tape speak for itself. To me, it was clearly a mistake made by young kid, not malicious. If it turns out he was drunk and that's why he left you might even call that highly intelligent to avoid a dui charge.
They gotta remember on a Georgia line last year with Travon Walker, Jordan Davis, Nolan Smith. Jalen was by far and above the best dang player on that line. There is a reason they dominated Alabama's o-line they had 4 first round talents on that line.
So when are you eating that shoe?
The deepest group is the DB's, specifically the corners. Running back is a devalued position and in this draft you have a fair amount of decent ones. But DB's are a significantly more important position in today's NFL and in this draft you have a ton of good ones. 7 DB's ran 4.3 forties or less. 11 ran in the 4.4's. In the running backs only 3 ran 4.3's and 4 ran 4.4's.
Two thoughts come to the forefront after listening to this podcast. Does Daniel Jones contract now make Brett eat a shoe if not at least flipflops? Does the Panthers trade to move up to #1 pick now make their "Lie" about the top quarterbacks of this class a misdiagnosis if not a blunder? Only time will tell for certain, but let's temper future predictions with some humility.
I swear this draft class is pretty deep, especially on the defensive side
As a panthers fan there’s no chance that we will be bad enough next year to be in the running for the first overall pick and there’s also no chance whoever gets the first overall pick would give up Caleb, this year was our only shot at getting a quality young QB and I go to sleep depressed that is the case but am hoping whichever QB we take can be solid enough to lead the team to a Super Bowl
Welp, looks like you gotta eat a shoe Brett? Any seasoning you prefer in particular to go along with it?
