Here's my take to any talking heads in sports media who applaud Fred for speaking his mind, how do you feel about athletes who spoke up against the covid vaccines and refused the shots?
Fred has 8 techs this year. Ben Taylor has given him 5.
He officiated 6 games he played in this season. He’s given him techs in 4/6 games. Maybe before judging him Mr. Parker you should go back and view the footage of each of those. They are incredibly soft.
Fred clearly said he started to feel like it was personal and that he felt he had exhausted all other options.
He is right, officiating takes away from the game when officials fail to make calls impartially and equally for all players. Can’t have different rules for different players.

Do you have to see it severe to call it out…. NO. Fix the officiating. I have only sat through one nba game because I can't stand the inconsistencies in officiating. I will praise them if I have to and as well call them as well.

As a lifelong NBA fan I have no problem whatsoever with what Fred Vanvleet did or with what he said foul language and all because it needed to be done it needed to happen it needed to be said because a lot of the NBA refs they are messing up the game and they are trying to make it all about them instead of the players which is what hard-working people Shell out there dollars to go and see
He did it on the court, and Taylor T him up? You can imagine if FVV would have said all that to Taylor on the court. That would have been game misconduct, technicall and the whole nine yard. But FVV trust more the NBA to fine him. Remembered it's personal with Taylor

We cant be serious and saying that the refs are “messing up the game” 😳 Really? Thats rediculous.. for God’s sake, they’ve let players travel for a decade 🤷🏾♂️. There are lots of concessions for the players to create a great product.
The refs are part of the game 🤷🏾♂️. Then have no refs then…. If computers ref the game then it would be “oh the tech is rigged” can’t win.

It was not out of line. We haven’t seen the accountability the NBA commissioner Adam Silver promised regarding poor officiating.

The refs has ruined the NBA
No, the players NEED to air it out in public to the press bc the refs won’t face any repercussions otherwise. The league coddles them for whatever reason while they ruin their product. Otherwise, let the refs address their calls themselves by having mandatory press after games. There needs to be ACCOUNTABILITY bc they clearly are allowed to make way too many emotional calls without justifying it to anyone, yet if a player shows emotion they’re fined or suspended. It’s ridiculously unbalanced, had been for years, and gets worse year after year.
We (as viewers) are tired, I can only imagine how tired the players are.
