The Green & Gold (Midge Month)
In today’s video, Rick (The FlyFish Fanatic)™ will be tying Chironomid/Midge/Buzzer pattern. This is a pattern I have been using for many years, The Green & Gold has been part of my fly box for more than two decades, why, because it works.
Materials:
Hook- Hends BL550 (Or BL554) Size 10-16
Thread- Semperfli Nanosilk in Olive
Body- Sempeffi Nanosilk in Olive
Rib- Semperfli Antique Gold HeadMicro Metal
Legs- Hends Peacock Dubbing No 11
Head- White Brass or Tungston Bead to fit hook.

Sorry Rick, but unless you are sponsored by Semperfli, nobody in their right mind would use that expensive Nanosilk to make a body on a fly. You're winding forever to get the least bulge and using meters of thread. I'm sure there's a much cheaper solution to such a simple fly.
