Peter says: I love the Springboks and rugby is one of my favourite sports. Although as a sports journalist I am supposed to remain neutral, I always like to point out that before I became a professional, I was just a big fan! I hold a Masters Degree in International Journalism so at least you know I should be able to ask a good question or two! My dream is to do this YouTube Channel permanently. 1. Andre Pretorius was a great player and I remember very well that he used sand as his prefered option to kick at goal – that was very original ! Thank you Peter once again for this interview !

  2. Thank you for another awesome interview..Andre was another player that was held back severely by reoccurring injuries..Glad to see he is still involved in the game and doing well…

  3. Andre was a very exciting player to watch. A natural running flyhalf. I can still remember Corne knocking him out in what we could call "Friendly Fire"…lol.

  4. I wonder if Piet Van Zyl would be up for an interview…after all he was responsible for one of the most infamous moments in rugby 😂.
Was in Rustenburg on the day Andre slotted the points to beat the All Black's.

  5. You have many talents as an interviewer, two of which were prominent again in this video. The first is your intuitive sense of asking the right question at the right time. And unlike so many other interviewers, I have yet to hear you ask a bone-headed question, or a question asked simply for the sake of asking a question, or one where the answer is so obvious, even a corpse would glare at you in bored irritation. Thanks very much for another fine video!

  6. Corne Krige knocked Andre's lights out in that terrible 02 loss to England, and after the match Rudolf Straeuli questioned the media if they thought the Bokke concussed themselves.. haha, still chuckle at that after so many yrs past, well done again Peter.

  7. I always felt bad this this guy had what I thought could have been a great career robbed through injury.
Thinking back on it, I may be wrong, but he just seemed like he wanted to take up the ball, and not kick the casing off it, as his first course of action. I know that the gameplan also figures into it, but it would have been interesting to see where things went if he was not plagued by injuries.

  8. Great interview Peter. I really love the rapport you manage to build with your interviewees.

Didn’t have much of an opinion of Andre to be honest but he seems to be a great guy. It’s great to hear that he is still involved in the game.

Looking forward to next week’s interview. I still clear as day remember the house erupting with the final drop kick of the RWC 95. Still gives me a lump in my throat whenever happen across it on TV or YT.

I hope the Sunday schedule is working for you. I would love to see your channel grow.
