The Premier League Summer Series is a new pre-season tournament that will be held in the USA and the inaugural competition will feature Aston Villa, Brentford, Brighton, Chelsea, Fulham & Newcastle.

    but premier league teams have played each other before in pre season before tho ain't they anyway so just saying premier league summer series doesn't exactly make it a worthwhile exercise really does it it's just a glorified pre season trophy which will generate loads of money for all of the clubs involved that's all it is really I mean it ain't important imo probably another so called bright idea from good old todd bohely that's all 🤣

    With British approving mostly Americans to buy premier clubs don’t be shocked when another tournament is created Between MSL Teams and Premier league Teams , soon after that half of premier league teams games will be played in USA

    I dont see why this is a bad idea – it brings some exposure internationally. The fans will get to watch the regular season games anyway.

    In the past, there was a pre-season tournament by Premier League held in Asia, which was held in odd-years bienally between 2003 and 2019, known as Premier League Asia Trophy.
    Chelsea had won this tournament in two occasions (2003 and 2011).
