  1. I think learning how to grind 12 hours a day golf is hard. Especially as you get older. As a kid or young adult it is easier. People accept you want to help. As an older person people will nickel and dime you to fix your game. Also confidence as a Young person comes naturally as older you have been slapped down a bunch.

  2. Assume he’s talking about the Garden City Men’s Club which is one of the top golf courses in the world (and would be surprised you haven’t heard of that). Also its very exclusive so I’m not sure if the guy who asked the question has a connection and if not he’s going to have a hard time getting in.

  3. Hi Mr Short Games please could you take on Mr Finch in uk as he is trying to find the best golfer on You Tube I think you will teach him a lesson .. thanks for all the great content and help you given me so clear and true ..

  4. MrShortGame I am looking forward for the tour of the "Garden City Golf Club" in New York, thank you in advance 🙂

  5. Matt, I appreciate your response to my question. I agree with you with one the exception. I believe AW or GW should be shafted as your irons because it is likely used more for full shots.

  6. thinking about joining a Golf club, they are affiliated with Club Corp or now Invited Clubs. i believe your a member whats your experience, getting on to play etc. thanks

  7. Matt, in the current handicap calculation system, they no longer take the ten lowest differentials of your last 20 rounds. With the one world handicap system, they now take just eight. 🙂

  8. I enjoy all of your MSG content and really appreciate when you show the struggles. For the Gallardos of the world – go suck your sour lemon elsewhere!

  9. I was scratch through the spring, summer, and fall. However, my last 4 rounds this winter have been 82, 80, 83, 81. Scratch players have rough rounds, too. I’ll get those scores back down, when the weather warms back up. More playing time will sharpen things back up. Also, wet ground, crappy greens, and cold conditions make scoring a lot tougher. Heck, even in the summer, I’ll still have an occasional high 70’s round, but most days I’m around par(or under). Take a look at the bottom of the leader board, on a Friday. The best players in the world will still sometimes shoot in the 80’s. Golf is hard.

  10. They may have changed it, but it used to be that a scratch golfer will shoot "par" once in five tries. Par is defined as the course rating (75.6 for Carnoustie back tees or 67.4 for the Muni down the street).
Rahm is probably a +10 so given five tries at Carnoustie he'll shoot 65 every fifth time.

  11. I figured your tour aspirations were similar to Micah Morris. Just fodder to get people to watch the channel. Just for content.

  12. Butch Harmon his son. David Ledbetter and many others are the best teachers in the world but ain’t good enough to be pro golfers they go out hits in the 80s but still tiger will listen to them just saying 😂

  13. Thank you for answering my question! I was all set to buy a mat that had 1 1/8” turf and no foam. Instead switched to one with a 3/4” foam back and 1/2” of turf. So far pain in any joints
