I don't know why people assume it'll only be 2 years of franchise tag. If you Non Exclusive tag him 3 years, its 124 million total (32, 38, 54). They offered 3 years/133 mil guaranteed per Lamar. Wouldn't they obviously do the 3 years since its cheaper than what they offered him?
Why would you want to leave a team that has offered such a great deal, which now includes OBJ, and has Mark Andrew and Justin Tucker?

And his impact on the community like kids, and people outside of the NFL fandom, is transcending almost every other player. Only Brady and OBJ in recent memory have the same type of quality I'm referring too. Brady was just too Great to ignore, and Odell is a superstar personality. Lamar did all of that win a few highlights and an unique style of QB that literally made him more of a threat than Vick almost instantly. He's literally a Top 5 QB and a Top 10 running back in one player. No one can do the shit Lamar can do. . . Period
Lamar Jackson has NO LEVERAGE to demand a $250M fully guaranteed contract. He can be tagged for two years. He will have to get an agent or swallow his pride. Baltimore WILL draft a QB in the draft and will use their back up QB if Lamar does not wake up. And you are right. OBJ was overpaid to show Lamar that they are reasonable to players they want to sign. Lamar knows he is loved in Baltimore, but the ownership and the NFL has a thousand times more leverage than he has.
The AFC central teams must be overjoyed to see the Ravens self destructing. Lamar is being toxic to his franchise team. Eventually, the Ravens will have to tag him if Lamar does not wake up to his senses which will keep the Ravens out of the super bowl for another year.

Kirk Cousins didn't have to play on a 5 th option. Anything Lamar signs should include a no tag clause. He should not take anything less than 3 years 150 fully guaranteed with a no trade. They offered him 133 over three years. Just add a 17 million signing bonus and 20 million in incentives. The GM needs to get this done.
