Saying attendance would go up if they stopped doing dirt might be the stupidest take I’ve ever heard about Bristol. Why would anyone choose to go to Spring Bristol when The Night Race exists and isn’t a nuts to butts sellout? Plus you’re losing out on the audience that currently is attending the other Bristol race because it is a dirt race, which based on the gap in attendance between tonight and races like 2019 seems to be a big portion of the current attendees.

What made Tony Stewart's Prelude to The Dream so great was the fact that is was Cup drivers in Dirt Cars on a real Dirt Track. What NASCAR is doing now his clunky, slow, and juvenile. Lap times are 5 seconds slower on dirt, track conditions get worse the longer they run. A single dirt race should never go 250 laps. Dirt racing is awesome and fun when done with actual dirt cars, not 3700lb Cup cars that have the agility of a ham sandwich.
