Absolutely no chance I pass on the deal that Carolina offered, you take that deal 100/100 times….. Pigs get fat…Hogs get slaughtered.

Iโm curious what Houston was offering. If Houston was willing to give 2, their 2nd round pick AND their 24โ 1st then Carolina offered their trade minus Moore then it wouldโve been tempting HOWEVER personally I think Poles made the right move.

I think making two trades is just asking for disaster. Getting greedy is so much riskier than the upside of a great WR and capital. It's a skill to know when to strike.

If DJ Mooreis absolutely NOT a part of trading up to 2, then the Bears made unquestionably the right move.
The trade with Carolina was good, but not exceptional. Poles "fumbled the ball", in not getting the #40 {Panthers second}, instead of #61 { 49's second}. Even if he had to include a 4th rounder with the #1 overall, it needed to be done. Poles always comes out "short", in his trades. Every other G M in the league knows this.
I wouldve made the deal with houston first. Then the deal with carolina , raiders, falcons, colts or even titans. Im not worried about moore. The upside for to having 3 future 1st in next years class and potentially in 25 having another 1st from carolina is much better. 2 years down the road we will have this conversation again, good lord willing. Getting Moore was worth passing on a second trade. Getting more picks is nice and all, but it's a case of one in the hand is worth two in the bush.

2 trades would have been nice. But you have to be satisfied with what you get at 2. Because you may get stuck there. And I wasn't worth it

Yes draft picks from the Texans would have been nice, but getting a for sure producing WR it was worth just dropping down. Not guaranteed the draft picks actually turn out
