Ryan Glen Mason (born 13 June 1991) is an English professional football coach and former player. He became the interim head coach of Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur in 2021, becoming the youngest coach in Premier League history, at 29.
Mason progressed through the youth ranks at Tottenham Hotspur and made his first team debut in 2008. He was loaned to Yeovil Town, Doncaster Rovers, Millwall, Lorient and Swindon Town, and played his first Premier League match for Tottenham in 2014.
After establishing himself in the Tottenham first team squad, he made his full international debut for England in March 2015. Mason moved to Hull City in 2016 for a club record fee, where he suffered a fractured skull in January 2017 in a match against Chelsea.
After a prolonged treatment and on the advice of medical specialists, he was forced to retire from professional football in February 2018.
He is currently First Team Coach alongside Antonio Conte at Tottenham.

Wow, what a bloke
I'm a podcast addict and only halfway in… my gosh I'm speechless an in awe of Ryan's strength . Thank you high performance and of Ryan Mason💙
What a story, What a guy.
What a story, What a guy.
What a guy. What a story!
From a West Ham fan
I love this podcast . After breaking my leg and ankle and dislocating my ankle i was told i could never play football again . (I still cant run a year later)
And nothing prepares you for going through so much pain and feeling helpless laying in a bed in hospital. Mine happened when covid was going on and wasnt allowed any visitors it was a hard time
I really enjoyed listening to his story a strong guy ! And i can relate to him
Thankyou for letting him talk and spend the time explaining it all!
We are hopefully listening to our next manager speaking here. Coys! I would love for mason to take over
👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Our future manager COYS
What a man, great episode.
Interesting how he said the players were so unfit under Jose
Great podcast and from a united fan who only really watches United I didnt have any idea of what Ryan Mason was like as a person. but got to say im massively impressed and its inspiring to hear someone come across so well and be so passionate about what whatever they do, wether its playing or coaching, to the best of their ability and not be afraid to pit themselves out there to say they want to do well and not stick with the majories who dont push themselves as hard!
What a lad ,what a person 👌 great aurora about him really enjoyed this one 👍
Thank you
It's nice to hear Ryan talk about things and to learn more what he's like as a person what a strong willed man he is the mentality of this guy is crazy to bounce back from such a horrendous thing just shows his character and as a player he had everything I'm a west ham fan but what a fella he has my respect and no one can dislike this bloke what a legend
Next guest : Gary Cahill
Gary Cahill should pay compensation to Ryan for what he did. His challenge was an unnecessarily late (hours late) header which he wasn't going to get to the ball yet still went for the header to leave a mark. People argue these cynical challenges are part of the game but he didn't even get a caution from the ref for it.
Absolutely inspiring to experience such a knock back of having to stop playing football where he has dedicated and sacrificed so much to do and move on and maintain this great positive outlook on life!!
What an amazing guy, real good insight to what he’s been through. You never truly know what people have been through in their lives. Incredible
Top man Ryan.
Every single Spurs fan knows that dream – only a special few will make it reality.
One of our own!

A lovely guy. Met him once and super friendly. Very appreciative of his time
In the same vein, can we hear the Fabrice Muamba story at some point please?
You can't fool your brain Into never thinking a single negative thought! It's a rediculous idea! No wonder this presenter stays awake at night hating himself. This silicon valley notion is damaging to the conscious and subconscious,as your not being true to yourself. Which if I'm honest I've always seen in this presenter. You see this a lot with corporate people, until they have a breakdown. My advice would be stop talking like your doing a groundbreaking PowerPoint presentation on positivity and be real to start with, then learn to reframe and observe.
