Jurgen Klopp has been speaking about Roberto Firmino’s decision to leave Liverpool when his contract expires this summer, with the Brazil striker having come off the bench to a rousing reception to score against Man Utd last Sunday.

“Surprised? A bit,” he said. “I respect it a lot. It is normal in this long relationship we have.

“It’s pretty special and I love the reception he got against Man Utd. He wants to bring this wonderful story to a positive end. The song will be here for a long time.”

  1. Just a point of correction, Liverpool is not losing the two players, The Ox and Naby, rather we are strengthening our payroll! Those 2 alone get paid over 250 000 pounds a week! for seating in a recovery room week-in, week-out!

  2. I always thought Bobby would reinvent himself as a midfielder. I mean he would often drop deep in his false nine role in his best periods anyway

  3. How can Klopp be suprised? He's barely played him these last 2 years. Bobby is getting older and wants minutes.

  4. A glorious run! Now onto his next chapter. May it be equally glorious (except when playing against his old team :))

  5. Honestly im getting sick and tired of hearung about money and wise spending or whatever.

I underdtand we want to be a " healthy" club but thr owners havent put thr money back into transfers. KLopp and thr players have bought liverpool back not the owners

  6. I always pictured Firmino at Inter Milan to be honest. I could see that being where he ends up. Slower pace in Italy too, so at this time in his career it would be a good move.

  7. Diaz, Nunez, Gakpo, Salah! I think Liverpool will scrape by! Firmino a Club legend, but he's not getting enough full games, so I think he's doing right thing for last few years of his Career. Plus, he"ll end at another Champs League club no doubt! 👍

  8. Did i hear you say Gomez??? Don't mention that name please except he's coming in as a right full back in tge Real Madrid match. Apart from that we don't need him wecan't afford to go backward again.

  9. We are Liverpool, we came to play With our skills and passion, we won the Utd, you tried your best, but it wasn't enough We dominated the field, we played tough

    Chorus:

    7-0, that's the score

We left you feeling so sore Liverpool, we're on top

    Utd, it's time to stop

    Verse 2:

Our defenders were strong, our strikers

were bold We scored goal after goal, our victory told Utd, you were no match for our team We showed you what it means to dream

    Chorus:

    7-0, that's the score

We left you feeling so sore Liverpool, we're on top

    Utd, it's time to stop

    Bridge:

We'll celebrate tonight, our victory sweet Utd, we'll see you next time we meet Liverpool, we'll keep the fire burning bright Our passion for the game, never out of sight

    Chorus:

    7-0, that's the score

We left you feeling so sore Liverpool, we're on top Utd, it's time to stop

    Outro:

So Utd, don't be too upset

We played fair and we played our best Liverpool, we'll keep on shining Our victory today, defining.

  10. Why would he want to waste his last years with Flopp? 7 years and only 1 Premier League title

  11. Gutted me I love Bobby Firminho no matter what doubters have ever said, he brings something nobody else does better and when he plays well the team plays well. YNWA

  12. Bobby deserves the best send off but as mentioned above if something happens between now and summer and he extends a year more
Who knows he might end up with a trophy in his final season

  13. TBH I wasn’t surprised when I heard. He wants regular first team football and not sit on the he bench. He won’t get chosen ahead of Nunez, Gakpo, Jota, Diaz. He’s also restricted to playing as a central forward of the front 3. New contract elsewhere and more money.

  14. Why would you be surprised. He doesn't get the minuets deserved, hasn't got the balls to drop salah or pull him off the park

  15. Suprised? He rarely starts anymore. He want's to play so good luck to him, he's a Liverpool legend.
