This was a great first lesson. He had a classic flip & pulling of the arms into the finish. Is was caused due to his upward motion at impact and through the ball. We focused on chipping & pitching using the TGTV2 medium training rod. This helped provide awareness for the handle of the club and a simple way to evaluate his shot.
Learning to improve the basic chip & pitch shot will improve the full swing faster than making full swings and is the best way to lower your scores.
