With nine out of the last 14 victories at the Puerto Rico Open being the winner’s first title on the PGA TOUR, the event provides a superb opportunity for 2022 Korn Ferry Tour graduates and TOUR veterans alike to get in the winner’s circle. Grand Reserve Golf Club will once again play host to the Puerto Rico Open and will provide a lengthy challenge, with two par-5s on the back nine measuring over 600 yards. The field includes several players who have claimed victory on TOUR previously, including 2021 Barracuda Championship winner Erik van Rooyen, two-time winner Andrew Landry and Jim Herman, who has three PGA TOUR titles to his name. Sponsor exemptions include Akshay Bhatia, who has made the cut in all three of his PGA TOUR starts this year, and an array of 2022 Korn Ferry Tour graduates including Max McGreevy, who will be hoping to improve on his second-place finish in Puerto Rico last time out.
