  1. Interested in hearing if anyone reading this actually pushes their front foot towards the ball like described in this video. Ive never tried it or even thought of such a move.

  2. Torque is a by product of your body being able to sustain the motion. If any one understands proper gait mechanics – right to left vice versa – this dynamic applies to golf swing when strengthening the body. If you're left inner oblique is shut off or incredibly weak you will lack the ability to get into your left side by default. Hence no torque, why alot of am's and pro's have problems. Thus, have big time problems with their backs. In general majority of golfers are right side dominant people thus everything is shifted that way by default. People in general are this way as they are shut off from their left side of the body. Sad really.

Fellas if you have poor ground reaction doing a drill like this will feel foreign until you work on your ability to transfer force across your abdominal core. Your legs by default have to sustain the rotation of your hips that is created from your core in the downswing. If they can't efficently you loose speed and will experience whole host of limitations. Excessive opening is compensation or excessive turn is compensation. I do understand most golfers have established move – swing thus opening – turning works for them. Mathew Wolfe is the exception, no?

  3. What's really interesting is that using the new tech that can measure details so much better is all the myth busting it does. Or rather can show what is suitable for the individual, e.g. your backswing tempo in this case. I watched Crossfield's video with Dr Lynn as well and I think he's really good the way he tries to find the optimal forces for the individual. Sure it's great to be able to generate more torque but it also has to translate into better golf.

  4. Hey thanks Brendon & Dr Scott this is awesome! I was a biomechanist (gait) so I understand moments acting about the sagittal, frontal and transverse planes, I love trying to create higher clubhead speeds I am very well trained in general strength & rotationally especially (ex-discus thrower) but frustratingly I struggle in the transverse plane when I swing a club. Focusing on hip rotation to create a sequential segmental rotation of the system never worked for me (lack of flexibility?) so I thought working from the ground up was the best option. BUT I thought "right foot back" or a force couple combined with left foot forward, but they never worked that well either. I follow Martin Borgmeier and have tried that left foot into the ground that creates the reaction of his (and Kyle and Bryson's) finish and a more dynamic release but I just couldn't get it & NOW I understand why! I just wasn't trying to create that left foot forward force early enough in the downswing!! Matt Wolff's example is so clear, I've just tried this in the garden & WOW, you guys rock!! 😃

  5. Great video. Dr. Scott is awesome. Can you train with the core board to increase rotational power or is it used more to understand the feel?

  6. I like that feeling of the feet go on the opposite direction of your swing in the downswing it really makes you feel like you're really opening up your hips

  7. Malaska, Jake Hutt and Markus from Zen talk about that move as well, but this is the best explanation sofar, esp. from 5.10.
I'll try it in conjunction with Monte's new video, which is mainly about the stage prior, how to do the BS and then recenter early correctly.
He thinks handle up and left speed through impact (from slot?) is and has been measured to be the key denominator for distance (and that this enables it, though he does not go into much detail on that in particular and how to increase it).
AMG are obviously big on rc as well, as is Lee Cox, who also worked with Borgi on that and who says that the speed of doing the rc move is the key, and as is Steve Furlonger, who also worked with Borgi and focuses more on unweighting and weighting as keys.
But I've actually seen four of these mentioned in person, plus Steve Pratt and some others, and still can't increase my speed….

  8. Hey guy's, ever hear of Marcus Bell and the Zen golf swing. He is in the UK.
The PGA instructors here in America teach nothing but nonsense. His teaching are spot on……Give him a look see. Search You Tube: Zen golf swing.
