  1. hey i had a question is it worth getting the gold pad tags if i already have the watch and app idk what else i would need them for

  2. Does the watch show graphics of the hole and green etc.? Thanks

  3. If you want to go and shot a good score, Harding is as good a course as any. If you get in trouble, it's not hard to recover, and if you're hitting your driver well, it's mid-iron to wedge on the approach shots all day long. My favorite course.

  4. Thanks to your video, I went out to Best Buy yesterday and bought an open box Samsung Galaxy ($130) and a subscription to Golf Pad premium to replace my old Garmin Approach S20 which is has shot tracking, a feature that is unfortunately useless. I was looking at a Garmin S62 ($500), but I believe I've duplicated most of the S62's essential features with the Samsung Galaxy and the Golf Pad app. With the savings, I have enough money left to go buy myself a brand new Cobra Speedzone driver!

Playing around with the app on my smartwatch, I see there's no way to indicate lie type (fairway, rough, sand, recovery) in shot tracking. I guess I can go back and edit that after uploading the round to my cellphone, but IMO, that's a useful feature that's missing from the watch app. I'm giving it a good test Thursday when I play 18 at Big Rec in LGB.

  5. What's up with the mask ?? Please don't tell me that you were required to wear one during your round. How the hell could you breath? You do realize that stupid paper mask you are wearing has absolutely no ability to stop virus particles that average 0.125 microns in size, and at the same time is likely weakening your own immune system and making you ill because mask are naturally fomites. (What is a fomite? A fomite is something that is contaminated with infectious agents such as bacteria or viruses and serves in their transmission.) But other than the obvious mask distraction, the video on the golf pad app was very informative. Thank you.

  6. thanks for this. Exactly what I wanted to know (have a Gear S3 and want to get the tags & premium version.

  7. Are you able to tap the tags on your watch? Or do you have to tap on your phone?

  8. Is that the standard watch or the golf version. Looking to get a watch for everyday use but also want a golf watch

  9. Heard rumors that one of the major companies is working on a small GPS position transmitter that fits onto the top of existing flagsticks. They also work on a universal software interface so that the position signal can be picked up by GPS watches, smartphone golf apps and GPS screens on electric trolleys to show the exact pin position on the green. That would be a fantastic feature!

  10. Can you use the smart watch with the tags? Or do you still need to tap the tag to the phone?

  11. Nice video man I use this app on my ticwatch Pro 2. It's a bit infuriating at times but that's more to do with my watch itself being buggy as hell

  12. Does it give you an average (on the app) to club yardage? Friend of mine has the Garmin S62 but it looks a bit big and bulky. But gives him an average (after a few rouds) of how long he's playing each club.

  13. I just picked up a 2nd hand samsung smart watch for this app because of this video. It makes it so much easier to use now. Sometimes trying to track shots with the phone can be frustrating as I would have to press track shot then turn the phone off to standby mode. If I forget to put the phone to standby mode I would end up pressing buttons in my pocket and messing up the tracking. I also don't want to keep getting my phone out of my pocket. I got the watch for £70 with postage, it's a samsung gear s3. Well worth it.

  14. I have my golf pad running on a galaxy 1 watch , tags and Hauwei P30 pro phone, a little temperamental but yes , good.
Looking forward to try the tags direct to the watch, phone on flight mode, watch on NFC : )

  15. Gr8 review! I'm considering a new smart watch (Galaxy 4) for my daily notifications and for Golf GPS.
Am very curious about the battery life on a Samsung watch while using Golf GPS. Does yours handle 36 holes on one day or at least easily 18 holes and get enough charge in an hour to make it through 18 more?

  16. Playing golf in the fresh with a mask on is the definition of madness – sorry can't watch this video any more.

  17. Does this guy and his glasses remind u of boris from men in black haha. I also love how he talks to the camera but then puts his mask on to hit lmao

  18. Been using it for years, the worst part has nothing to do with the app and just that sometimes the swiping for NFC f-ing sucks!

  19. the plays like feature gets more accurate the more you track your shots for each club based on your exact yardage.

  20. That standalone feature. Do you nee to have your phone in the bag and connected via Bluetooth? Or csn you leave it in the car and use it a pure standalone without any connection to the watch at all?
