  1. I have a problem with PW’s that go 155yards in these sets. You end up needing a GW GGW and GGGW To cover the gap to sand wedges.

  2. Great video! You make a good point – only a really good player (i.e. fast swing speed) would be able to play those delofted clubs, but then a good player would not want them! PS – A set like this means more wedges in the bag too, which likely have to be purchased separately (running up the cost….).

  3. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU this is exactly what I needed to see; 7 iron is my favorite, can’t lift my 4 iron. Even hav bought driving iron— to my dismay — still no lift. Henceforth, I need to learn how to hit hybrid-higher woods

  4. Love these videos in the new studio — if you don’t understand the cheap clubs you already have, you won’t understand an expensive set of new fitted clubs either!

  5. Granted a lot of these sets have stiff flex steel shafts they are usually an ultra light offering so it’s hard to argue it plays as a true stiff shaft. In addition those shafts also launch and spin more than their heavier counterparts. Lastly, most people buying these sets should not be carrying 4 or 5 irons regardless of the shaft, build, etc. lol

  6. Thanks Simon so informative, I choose to play old musclebacks instead of the longer hitting clubs , now I know why , also the recent driver video has helped me understand that it’s not all about swing speed . Cheers👍

  7. Great video 📹 👍
Q- Can you explain how your "online lessons " work?
    Interested in arranging one, thanks

  8. I have these clubs and they work for me as someone who has tended to hit the ball too high, but I only went for 6 iron up, just didn’t see why you’d need 4/5 irons with those lofts. Hybrids and a DHY fill that gap

  9. The person who needs that 4 iron is the one who is completely incapable of hitting driver or woods. I would definitely have been a target for that a few years ago, allthough I wouldn't have touched anything else in that set (and I would have preferred it having the number 2 on it).

  10. My swing is not quite that high, but I know where my 34 degree loft 7 iron will go. A 27 degree low hooky one…not so sure.

  11. Not quite a fair comparison. If you have 175 yards to the flag you won’t be hitting the callaway 7 iron, you’d be hitting a 9? So why not compare the callaway 9 with the miura 7

  12. I have Callaway Mavriks, and I've dropped my 5 iron (21 degree) in favour of a hybrid. Makes sense to me!

  13. Great timing with my new clubs arriving yesterday… ST max 5i-46aw…. I don't (can't) use hybrids so think these will work for me. I'll use the 5i/21 as a driving iron. Traded my b21 irons on callaway pre-owned for more than I bought them on eBay (very SAS golf!). If these don't work then I'll just trade them in again against some forged clubs. My old clubs were 20 year old snake eyes that I probably should have kept!

  14. I have the original rogues and are by no means a long hitter but I long use them up to 6 iron, the 5 and 4 go to far. I go into a 24 degree hybrid then a 5 wood after that

  15. Have the JPX 921 Hot Metal ,Just an Great Feel but maybe hit them an little too High . Regular flex with 95 gram Recoil graphite that looks like Metal Shafts!

  16. I learn so much from your videos. I play Ping Karsten 1 irons/woods and love them. Tried playing the newer stuff but not my thing. Keep the information coming 😎

  17. Great video Simon , content is quality 👍🏻 found the exact think with my irons , 5 iron goes shorter than the 6 so just got myself another hybrid

  18. Great content Simon, I switched from the Mavrik Pro to the X Forged CB and noticed much better distance gapping, as well as better dispersion. Despite what I had heard about playing more traditional Cavity Backs, they seem less punishing on misshits as well.

  19. Loving the new venture, wish I could get down to you!! I play modus 120s in my irons. 7 iron 86mph driver 102mph. But I have a ns 950neo gh reg in a Fl-hi 5-hybrid & hit that the most consistent, should I consider the 950neo gh for all my irons?? If it helps driver hzds yellow D1, Irons D3-D2 hybrid is D1.5 cheers for any help.
