Nice to see another video giving a plug to Waterfront Golf where I happen to play myself, James is obviously a Yorkshireman, unmistakable accent 😊 Being a senior (70 next month) the balls that pros use don't work for my slow swing speed, be interesting to see how James would fare with the ball I use, the Srixon Ultisoft, it's been a game changer for me since I switched from the AD333.
Interesting and informative video! I've seen these golf balls, but would not have considered trying them before this video. They will most likely be the next golf balls I purchase.
In the U.S. these balls are (or have been) available at Walmart. Not surprised at the durability issue as that is likely similar to most/all balls with a urethane cover. I've tried them, no big help for me.
I tried these. I found the cover just got destroyed even with mid irons. Probably the least durable ball I’ve played which kind of undoes the price saving when your using 3-4 balls per 1 pro v 🤷♂️
I had a couple of dozen Cut balls, and the name was very appropriate – felt nice enough but durability was disastrously bad. They cut really easily, scuffed just by looking at them. Not using them again.
These balls are great golf balls. I wanted to find a cheaper premium ball to play, and these were great except for that cover. Makes an excellent ball for holes where water comes into play and you don't feel like losing a ProV!
I tried it and it goes good but has zero durability. If you take a practice swing with a high lofted club you will cut the cover which is probably where they got the name. I managed to cut the cover with a hybrid I only have a 105mph driver swing.
I certainly am not a good golfer. But I did try these balls. I hit them a long way but had a hard time controlling them with my driver. Irons and wedges was a different story.
Thank you for the review. I bought & played with the Cut ball. It is NOT durable at all. Mid-iron shots scuffed the ball. Wedge shots tore the cover & gave "instant pubic hair" each and every time. I went through 3 balls in 6 holes due to the lack of durability. Sorry; "no buy" for me.
Just played this ball this last week and the durability was horrible. Didn’t even get 2 or 3 holes out of it before it was marked up. 1 ball I only hit a driver and a 5 wood and a small piece of the cover was torn.
I am all about price for performance! I can’t see why anyone over a 10 hcp uses a Pro V! Lot of money to lose in water/woods. I use the Vice, they perform well and cost half of the PV.
I've played Cut Blue and really enjoyed them but they do scuff easily it seems but best performance for the money! I recently ordered 5 dozen Cut Red 2 piece golf balls at $5.89 a dozen! 🐊🏌🦅🇺🇲👍
Found a box of cut blue in local Walmart. I tried for 18 holes. I found it "hard" off my tour edge driver. I also found scuff marks on it after about 10 holes hitting the blue with my irons. After a hit with a mizuno gap wedge it showed the cover be a bit scuffed. For the 19.99 usd price I didn't care if I lost it. 🙃
I got a dozen of the Cut Blue, despite what I'd heard about the covers, and I chipped and pitched with them. Crazy good spin and the ball just sticks absolutely dead where you land it. I was getting up and down from everywhere. When I looked at the balls, they all had gouges and cuts in them – every one – and some were really shockingly bad. Just from short pitches and chips. The damage is odd-looking, too. It looks similar to the way an ionomer ball does when it's cut, so that they're essentially shredded and unusable after damage. When a good urethane ball (or your-a-THEEN, as James says) gets damage, it's often not that bad, because the urethane is designed to absorb a lot of the impact before it shears or shreds. None of the shots I was hitting would have damaged a decent urethane covered ball, or even a Callaway Supersoft for that matter.
But I played a few rounds with some undamaged ones and they performed really well. Distance was good with driver, and it surprised me with good height and carry with irons. I'm a medium speed swinger, and quite often a firmer ball that spins more costs me several yards with irons. But this one was right up there with the Tour Response and Vice Pro Soft iron shots I hit alongside it. And man, does it ever sit down with a full wedge shot. I mean it just parks it right on the green wherever it lands. It's too bad the cover is such garbage, because it really is a good performer. I see some posts that the DC is an improved cover, so maybe I'll give them a shot.
what s shot! what a ball! I have 2 dozen for sale used for $10. oh wait, no I don't, because there's none out there… because nobody plays them 🙂 buy 'em up, players! decent value ball and I'm anxious to find more
Love the feel of those balls but if I’m hitting a gap or sand wedge they hold true to their name because I’m cutting the cover on a new cut ball. Won’t buy them again.
My preferred ball, price is great but durability is an issue. I think that with the newer ones they're better, but older models not great. Also, I believe it's more of a pro V1x clone, so it's going to be harder. The grey is the pro V1, while the white is a 3 piece surlyn.
I bought a dozen from amazon. I found them more like a prov1x which is probably accurate as its 4 piece same as prov1x, not a 3 piece like prov1. I never really had an issue with durability tbh. I used 1 ball for 18 holes, it just got dirty, the ball washers were out of action during covid. I play normally tp5 because no matter what titliest say to the contrary tp5 are the best ball and offer me far superior spin to any titliest ball. But that argument apart I have recently tried the Bridgestone Rxs they seem good. Good review guys.

Love the vids James but what's with the bags that go on the floor?????

I love your socks!

When I first viewed the start I thought the ball had an 'N' oops.
There not that cheap in Canada..$45 a dozen

Kirkland is the best value atm I reckon.
they look like an incredible ball. I've just started using kirkland James and they are brilliant 👏

With the new Pro V1 in play this week on tour, excited for when you and Chris get them later on. Great vid
James tube socks must having a warming effect because Chris is bundled up like it’s winter ❄️. Haha

Well done James and Chris 🏌♂️ 😀

Watch your videos daily. Thanks for the reviews
Played when first came out and.horrible quality and durable. May have to try again
I still advocate Vice Pro.
I've played these a bit. Not bad for the price but they don't hold up too well.
I play the cut dc ball. Love it

Not a bad ball for the price, covers don't hold up very well.
Cut blue very poor durability therefore I would never buy that ball. I heard good things about the Inesis 900 golf ball

Have you tested the piper golf ball yet?

My cousin sold me a couple sleeves of these, they’re good but they wear a little fast

Morning from Bama! Been far too long since talking balls.
Thumbnail Descriptions are fucking garbage, please stop with that stupid shit
Didn't rate them at all. Wedges cut them to shreds and not great distance. That was 12 months ago. Maybe they are better now
