This presentation, organized by Downtown Grand Rapids Inc and numerous partners, was part of a local effort to explore how other communities have successfully organized around, and thoughtfully leveraged, their river restoration and revitalization investments to catalyze neighborhood improvement, expand opportunity and build community.

The lessons and learning help to inform and guide the multi-faceted work of designing a community-driven organizational framework for executing on the local vision for a restored and revitalized Grand River flowing through our urban core.

The audience is comprised of elected, appointed, staff and volunteer leaders from Kent County, the City of Grand Rapids, the Downtown Development Authority, Grand Rapids Whitewater, Downtown Grand Rapids Inc., the philanthropic community and others.

The presentation occurred at the Embassy Suites Downtown Grand Rapids on September 13, 2019.
