This is one of the BEST and SAFEST shots in golf. Over 70% of my followers didn’t know how to play the TEXAS WEDGE. ‘Hit and Hope’ they called it.
Heres the secret to perfectly play the famous ‘Texas Wedge’.
I know it’s not the most impressive golf shot… BUT IT WORKS. And it will definitely help you to lower your score and reduce your handicap.

Time and a place for the Texas wedge but it is no substitute for practicing your greenside chips!
Use an 8-9 iron and use a putter stroke. Little bump and run better than using your putter off the green
No clue what this has to do with Texas, but this proves that we are just better. In everything. And it’s not arguable. You are all lesser beings. Bow down to Texas, it is your superior.
I am 10 times better at chipping then putting so I will always do the chip in the situation unless it would be hard to stop and it’s downhill
I putt from the fringe all the time it really is just so simple once you get used to it even 3 yards of the green safe it is indeed helped me a lot🤙🏻
8 iron also works well from there
Need to hit that putt with top spin. Helps hop through the fringe.

Sometimes I'll use my 2 hybrid or 3 wood
Works great and you just make a putting stroke! Great when you leave yourself short sided
I use an hybrid for the Texas wedge. Works extremely good
Im actually better at these shots than I am at putting within 4 feet.

It’s the opposite for me. I can consistently one hop and stop a chip shot every time

I feel the total opposite! The Chip with the gap wedge is way safer than a putt
