THE WORST SLICE STORY GETS THIS DRIVER SENT TO THEM! 💬👇🏽
Ok hear me out. You take an sft driver, crank the loft up as high as it can go off standard closing that face another 3-4 degrees. Then you spray the face with Pam, take a polara ball and turn it sideways and that ball will go so far left it’ll hit you in the right ear by the time it comes around!!!
What is the difference between the SFT model and the Max or LST set in the draw bias position?
Got 2 contenders for worst slice. First one trailed off so far right it ended up a hole over, ON THE GREEN. Had to putt off for my next shot while the group behind waited. Second was when I hit a 136 year old historic church, left a nice mark in the cedar siding!
I became a believer that a driver can help a slice when, last year I tried my wife's New Callaway Big Birtha driver..so much so I bought me one and yes 100% the 12 degree version with the stock stiff shaft has put more drives in play then any driver I have ever wasted money on. Part of the cost of the driver has been made up by the couple dozen balls I did not loose so far……
sliced a drive on now defunct Z Boaz #17, fairway runs parallel with busy Camp Bowie boulevard in Ft. Worth, eastbound ball hits bumper of westbound car, ball bounces back within 15 ft. of me on tee box. So I pulled a long iron and played from there. Actually quite a satisfactory bogey.
We were playing a course that was adjacent to a vineyard. Off the tee box of one of the holes my partner hit a crazy bad slice. The ball flew a long way and was out of view in flight when we heard what sounded like a shotgun blast. We roll off the tee box and see that there are two bathrooms covered with tin roofs a ways off to the right near a different tee box, so it was apparent that the noise was the ball hitting the roof of one of the bathrooms. Suddenly, a guy comes out of one looking shell shocked. He appears quite disoriented and is looking all around. He looks down, picks up the ball and throws it at us as we're heading down the fairway. Then he shakes his fist, yells some obscenities and walks over to a tractor and drives out into the vineyard. Guess he was working when nature called and he snuck into one of the course bathrooms to take care of business. I'm sure it sounded like the thing was exploding when the ball hit the roof. We laughed about that for the rest of the round!
Cant give to many detail's because I am in an active personal injury lawsuit over this one. Local course (tight course) on tee box 6 drove way too hard, high and hard right slice fairway 8 past trees another player caught my ball with an upper part of his body. he did go to hospital by ambulance. I do feel bad and lesson learned. If its not a controlled shot I don't take it and I will never play that course again. Stay Blessed everyone
Took a day off to play. I'm teeing up on this par 5 with apartments to my right. Old man on the 4th floor balcony drinking his coffee ready to laugh at some golfer. Well sliced it right at him he dropped his mug nearly hitting someone sunbathing. FML
I don't believe I slice I have gotten used to looking on the right side taking it as normal, change my mind Lol.
I slice so hard, it hits me in the back of the head. HELP A BROTHER OUT!
I was trying to cut the corner on hole #3, a dogleg left at Michigan's Drumond Island Township GC. I wasn't close to hitting left even while aiming waaaay left. Instead, I sliced my ball hitting on top of the corrugated clubhouse roof perpendicular to me and the ball somehow ricocheted right to the clubhouse roof horizontally to me and flew perfectly onto the green. Birdie, 2 putts! #GoodEndingToABadShot (See map https://www.visitdrummondisland.com/uploads/5/1/6/3/5163078/di-golf-club.jpg )
I had a playing partner that hit a slice for over 10 years. Then I showed him how to correct his slice in ONE swing. One simple correction to his setup and his slice was history. We played the back nine after I showed him the trick and he didn't hit another slice all day. ONE swing was all it took, and it will work for you just as well if you do what I had him do. Simple and easy and slice no more. YOU do NOT need a new driver you just have to learn how to use the one you have.
Costa del Sol, Doral area, early 80’s, just starting to golf, owner of a giant banana slice, 11th hole, I think, back side, dead straight with a road along the right. Ball 1, banana, OB, over the road, gone. Drive 2, aim a little left, same result. Ball 3, aim a little more left-we all know what’s coming- slice, OB, over the road, gone. My buddies are crying with laughter, telling me to drop where they are. Nope, it’s personal now. Drive 4, same. Ball 5, same. I’m going to make the fairway or hit all my balls & drink the rest of the day. Somehow, don’t remember how, #6 makes the fairway. Played for 20 more years & had a slight draw to the long clubs. Then I quit for 20 years. Now, in my early 60’s, trying to play again because my grandson is playing, and, guess who has a slice? Oh well, I fixed it once, I’ll fix it again!
The Old Course at St Andrew’s playing the 17th hole I sliced it off the t..ball landing on a balcony to the right of the t box..🏌🏻😂😂
I stand on the tee box, I look down a short 260 yard par 4, out of bounds and a road to the right, fairway angles away to the left with a bend back to the right to the green third a touch of water between the green and the tee box. I aim down the left of the fairway and wind up for the swing of my life, boom 💥 club face wide open at impact, two nature strip's, 4 lanes of traffic and a medium strip down the middle of the road, to find my ball sitting under the tyre of a car in a parking lot of an office building on the other side of a major road.
How about showing the scatter plot of the same golfers with the G425 Max vs G425 SFT. Why compare with the Tour Edge?
Chapstick works best for preventing a slice and is much cleaner than spam.
I was on vacation and sliced one through the window of a condo on the 18th hole.
Huge sign on #8 (golfers are responsible for damage, do not aim over the houses). Of course, idiot banana slices the ball straight into the back of a member who was doing work in his backyard. Then does the old drive the cart to the complete opposite side of the fairway and takes no responsibility.
I'm convinced ping has better numbers for stopping the slice because their driver standard length is shorter than everyone elses. Didnt the old taylormade R7 and R9 advertise 35 yards of ball movement. mid teens seems tame compared to them.
I pounded a slice with the wind howling at my back on #4 at Pacific Dunes… with the wind, the elevation, and the intensity of the slice, the ball carried the cliffs, the beach, and several yards of water, nearly took out some beach-goers that were splashing around in the shallows. As a 13 handicapper with a high swing speed (110+ mph), I will leave driver in the bag except on the Par 5's that allow for big misses to the right. I think gaming this SFT would help me find more fairways and finally break 80… and hopefully avoid taking out any more beach-goers
Will never forget, 39 years ago. Young lad, balata balls and persimon hand-me-down from my grand dad. Hit the ball for 30 yards straight and up, went ninety degrees right and took a dive. Over the caddy shack, BENG! into the window of the club house door. Rolls all the way through the hall, to end up at the office of my aunty who was the secretary there. Aunty is a stern lady, (think the secretary of Monsters Inc). Of course didn't go to pick up the ball. Just had forgotten that that I had that"really cool" initials on my ball, so someone was waiting for me after the round…
10 yards of roll?
Play the G400 SFT….love it as I have a playable fade (at worst) to baby draw (at best). Worst story – never any broken windows or busted windshields, just too many lost balls in community yards.
My best slice story happened just one week ago. I was playing with my wife, daughter and mother-in-law. On a 170 yard par three, I took aim way to the left of a hole that was guarded by trees all down the left side. The path to the next hole was though those trees. When the group ahead of us started towards the next hole, I took my shot. I knew I struck a good one, but all three of my playing partners yelled, "Fore!" I couldn't understand why they were yelling because I hit it just where I wanted it to go. Sure enough, my ball started left of the trees and curved around three layers of trees and checked up about six feet from the pin. The group ahead of us were ducking behind trees and never saw my ball. I saw one of them look back to the green and I'm sure he just couldn't figure out what all the yelling was about when he saw my shot. As a true slicer, I have no command over any part of my game, so I missed the birdie putt too. Truth be told, anybody that hits a ball that goes from left to right that far doesn't deserve a birdie anyways.
I can hit slices from the left side of the driving range that start straight and go 90 degrees right to the right end of the driving range 😂
didnt go into a single item or detail of why the g425 is suppose to help… nothing about the driver head, or shafts or tech of it… dumbest video…
was hitting a bad slice all day, finally got to a dogleg right that fit my slice perfectly, then i hit my drive dead-straight into the woods
Playing a course in a not so good area of town and sliced into a road hitting a car full of gang bangers. They pulled over and started screaming at me and then one proceeded to show me his gun and came running across the street and started climbing the fence. I told my son to get my 90 year old dad to the clubhouse in the cart, and thinking I was going to be shot if I stood there and did nothing, I rushed the guy. He must have thought I had a gun as well because he was so shocked as he hit the ground to see me running at him he froze and told me to "be cool"! I told him he needed to put the gun away as it was an accident and we would straighten it out but they had to drive around to the clubhouse where there were more people. Surprisingly they did, and after showing me the golfball size dent in their old rusted out peeler, we agreed on a $50 settlement. They were wanting more, but I said we would need to get the police there to file a report, and then they decided $50 was ok. They even handed me back my ball. It's a story that my son continues to tell at parties and it's pretty funny now that we lived through it. Was really scary at the time. My son has since taken to carrying while on the course haha.
Feel like I just watched a 6 minute commercial for Ping. But I am falling for it 100% of the times!
I had the G400 SFT after a fitting and was very happy with it. Then I lost my head and upgraded to the G425 SFT without hitting it first and I didn't get on with it. It made a terrible noise and performed worse in my hands than the G400. I now have the SIM2 Max D which for me is sooooo much better in every way.
Uh why was the flag more left than the balls for the Ping? Shouldn’t you have the pin more right to say “balls were more left of center of the fairway? Or at least show the left and right of the fairway? Because the image looked like it was similar to the Tour Edge driver just moved the pin…. And the comment saying “it must be your driver and not your swing,” ABSOLUTELY NO DRIVER WILL FIX A SLICE IF YOU HAVE A POOR SWING. Going out to in with any driver, WILL slice. A driver might help with dispersion slightly, but not much.
