  1. I have a feeling this is going to be the 3rd time Matt saving my golf career 😃

  2. Matt very excited about this, sent you an e-mail. Would love to help with this effort. It has great potential!

  3. Matt, I struggle with Wedge Partial. When I start practicing Wedge Parcial, I start thinking about what I’m supposed to be doing that my body forgets to turn and shank city. I can be doing fine for 25 shots then boom, can’t hit another ball the rest of the day. I have some at home putting drills that have absolutely changed my putting. We could build a library of drills.

  4. I planted many canadian geese feathers last week over several games at my home course, and Saturday I was able to go from 5 pars over holes 11 to 15 , which was my Friday run, over to and eagle followed by three birdies and then a par. It was crazy, and I was like, man! these feathers can also hatch eagles!!! I finished the back nine 1 under par, and beat my friday score of 78 (8 over) by one stroke after I had been trailing by 3 strokes after the front nine, to finish at +7, best game this year.

  5. Question: I use an app on my phone that also connects to sensors on my clubs to track distances. I have the average distance as well as what the app calls a "smart range" for each club. Now, this helps me on the course, but I have to always keep in mind that apps like that track distance from one shot to the next, which means it's total distance and not carry. I know carry is important, but am not sure how to get good carry numbers without investing more in a launch monitor or paying for time in a fitting bay. Is there any other way to learn, derive, or measure carry distances to better use the data to choose clubs?

  6. So, I shot a career round the other day at a fun course. I didn't do anything stupid, hit solid shots and simply executed when it counted. i made my short (under 8ft) putts for 5 birdies and only made one bogey. My driver is solid, but it was my iron play that was crisp and that allowed me to hit some approaches close and make the birdies. The next day, I shot 79 and it felt like an 88 even though i birdies 1 and 17.

  7. I usually note how many three-putts or worse after a round. I also use a very broad statistic I call a "wasted shot" which is a catch all for all shots that are mishits and lead me to not hit in green/fairway in regulation. I noticed over three rounds where I scored -4 , E, +5 that my best round had the fewest threeputts, and the most wasted shots and that my worst round had the most three putts and fewest wasted shots, and the even round was inbetween those in terms of those stats. Led me to practice more putting

  8. Playa, these topics + a bit of Q&A would make a great podcast. I often find myself walking around my apartment with earphones in just taking in this gospel.

  9. Taking your cue
I surveyed the home course from space and delimited the Approach Zone (AZ) for each hole
Low stress territory the size of Arizona & within range of any one of the favzies
And in the event of an untoward event, I marked the spots for The EZChip as well
    We’re going to Arizona Playa
    BA

  10. This totally works. I went all anal and planned backwards from the green on Google earth and mapped distances to wedge-in shots on every hole. Committed, stayed with the plan, executed, avoided the crap; result, shot my best round of the year, and joint second best ever. 3 Days later, Big Richard came along for the round, and I didn´t break 100. Same course. No excuses. Back to the board.

  11. These systems are so good I'm happy you don't charge money for them because they are worth it. Thank you, sir.

  12. Another good one BAUS ! And my cheat code 7 wood saved me today, thanks again

  13. I have mental problems with some courses. A few weeks back I played one course and it has always been a tough course for me and before I even started it got in my head. I shot over a 100, my worst score of the season. My next three rounds I played on different courses and went 85, 85, 80. I really need to stop thinking about how I played a course in the past and just hit the ball.

  14. I have been lurking these videos for so long and i have to say i just love they way you see golf. This mindset is growing on me, i can see my progress (Still a high handicapper), i can also enjoy every single round so much more and i have to say its at least partially because of you. So thanks, a lot
