  1. I'm more interested in seeing great golf than big name players that hack their way around a course in comparison. US Open was a breath of fresh air.

The world weal live in nowadays is so messed up. Inflation at record highs, people at food banks coz they can't afford to pay their energy bills even though they earn a 'decent' wage and then these 'athletes' 🤣, being offered oceans of moolah, which to be honest they'd be nuts to refuse. Reset button please.

  2. No one seems to be pointing out that a lot of the players that have left, don't really like the PGA Tour and have had "run-ins" with them in the past, don't forget DJs sabbatical, which we all took to be ban but kept quiet by the PGA!!
The PGA do like to control all the players and dictate how much and where they play, the players lose their choice to play where they want because of the minimum requirement to play the PGA, particularly if you're not in the Majors and WGC. This is a push by certain players to get some independent power back and the PGA response………….throw more money at the top players!!!

  3. Good ridince and good by, not a fan and this is why. No love for the game, money ho. Get a better attitude, Punky Bruster. RIP 🪦

  4. I think LIV Golf is much more likely to bring Rick Shiels into an event with a sponsor's exemption (and engage with social media, in general). So, I'm all for it… 🙂

  5. With so many quality players joining, they have to offer world ranking points, but could they be diluted because each comp is only over 54 holes?

  6. I’ll be honest, I loved Brooks standing up to the journalists. I watched almost every press conference for the open, which I had never done, and I was shocked at how smarmy and self entitled a lot of them were. I’m all for hard questions but the attitudes some of them took with players is just absurd. Blatantly flexing like they are gods. I’m very okay with Brooks standing up and saying that it was about the open and we should all be focusing on that. A bit like going to someone’s baby shower and announcing that you’ve just found out you’re expecting. Just the wrong tact.

  7. when all this talk about it "all about my family," Brooks seems to have thrown shade at his little brother Chase … because Chase now has no status to play anywhere.

  8. Greg Norman is an arrogant entitled brat and I will never watch the LIV tour. None of the players that have left are even close to being my favorites. Watching DJ and Koepka play golf was like watching paint dry; zero personality. Hogan, Sneed and Palmer must be rolling over in their graves. Sad….

  9. There’s more to this story with LIV than we are getting. Or is Monahan really a crook? 🤔

  10. He's a good player for sure…but his body is falling apart. The LIV players showed poorly this past weekend in the US Open. I don't mind competing leagues as I think it's good, the coverage and format though…seems like recreation format I'd play with my buddies on the weekend. I watched for about an hour and that was all I needed to be done with it. It's a precarious spot as this is "sportswashing" in the finest sense, but we seem to OK to look over that and what the backers have done. How soon until we see a cartel backed league? I'm serious, we should all be OK with it….

  11. I don’t love or hate Liv golf, I do hate that turning independent contractors into rich employees (CEO rich) will ultimately reduce the quality of the play. The PGA produces the best golf on the planet and Liv never will. What is the incentive to practice if you can just get paid millions to show up. Who needs a 4 million dollar winners check when you pocketed $150,000,000 million just for signing up. It’s sad for golf in general because all these big name guys that we have watched with awe of on the PGA Tour will basically never win another big event. Maybe they are good enough to play golf part time and still compete and maybe win but my guess is their skills will rust and they will lose their edge. Making pro golf less interesting for all of us.

  12. The moment that the PGA dropped President Trump's courses for bought and paid for fake news, is the same moment I threw away everything I had with the PGA logo on it. I call what is happening to the PGA "TRUMP'S REVENGE"

  13. I think Rick Shiels, Matt Fryer, and Pete Finch [+ another] should form a LIV team named 'Olde English'. their play is better than some of the guys already signed up.

  14. Rick, u could be the Peter alyss of liv golf. Put some feelers out, it could change ur family’s life.

  15. I love it. PGA is trying to play rough shod with the players. They currently have a monopoly and think the PGA is bigger than the game.
WOW, 150,000,000 mil. That's probably more than any player can earn, just from winnings, in a career. Why not.

  16. I guess those who are against the PGA Tour are also against any good works they may do such as supporting hospitals and charities.
But, once the PGA Tour is gone I’m sure the backers, players, and supporters of the LIV Tour will step up monetarily to fill those needs.

  17. Good for him and all the players making bank. It's not a long career really so might as well make that money while you can.

  18. i personally don't care if there is another league to compete in. i would like to see a league that has a mix of LPGA, PGA and Champions Tour players. have the tee boxes at different lengths. the only real difference between the 3 is distance off the tee because of age and gender.

  19. If that's true, Koepka had no choice but to sign that deal. When someone is paying you that kind of money just to play on their tour regardless of how you finish in their tournaments, you don't think twice. That's too much money to turn down. That's the price of several mansions, cars, yachts, etc.

  20. LIV golf is needed. Glad some players are taking advantage of the fair money. PGA payouts are robbery.

  21. Another sell out. Just how much money do these mercenaries need?

  22. The chances of these LIV golfers winning a major in the future is very small. Playing glorified exhibition games 8 or 9 times a year is no match against players on the PGA tour who play against the best every single week

  23. Outside of the media, Phil is still very popular. These clowns don’t have a clue.
