This is my honest opinion on the Takomo 101 irons which i have bought myself with my money, no sponsor.
How does an average golfer get on with the direct to consumer irons?

Only time will tell if they help or hinder my game. Takomo 101 irons let us see what you got.

  1. You looked very comfortable with the new irons. I have seen a couple of YouTube pros review them and they seem to like them. They look like standard grips? My Son has slightly thicker/fatter grips and they feel really good to me so am thinking of testing some out. Do you have any thoughts on grips?
Great video as usual. Played there twice yesterday agree, the ground staff do a fantastic job.

  2. Hi! Good review! Im thinking to buy those clubs. Playing now Wilson D200 with super light shafts. I got arm injury few years ago and im worried the feedback on mishits. Did you get bad vibration on mishits?

  3. I'm definitely thinking about buying these irons just not sure about the import tax you were talking about me being in Canada and all I don't know how much more I'd have to pay

  4. Maybe I missed it but did you go with the "Lite" Stiff or just the normal Stiff flex shafts? Thanks for the review! I am for grabbing a set, just a matter of when and making up my mind if I want to pay to get fitted first 😀

  5. Thanks! It's great to see a review by someone who golfs similar to the way I do. Turning birdie opportunities into bogeys is my specialty. Judging by this review, and several others, I think Takomo Golf may have something here.

  6. Nice review. You mention customs duty in the review. Did you have to pay it before you received the clubs or get an invoice when they arrived?

  7. hi I bought these 6 rounds there good value not saying there a p790 but seriously value for money need weather too get better but shaft is a little heavy for me wedges are as good as anything very responsive

  8. How do they compare to your previous irons, feel, control and distance (better)? What is your yardage for each iron? I have watched the reviews on the TXG and James R channels and they offered high praise but their swing speeds are up there.

  9. Love the detailed review and I've been looking at the 101 and 201 irons for a while now but still undecided, although your review has pushed me towards the 101. I agree they are great value for money compared to what the big brands charge. And from what you say they do appear to be very forgiving too. Thanks again for the review. Love the camera angles and the ball flight tracer. Hope to see your channel grow from strength to strength.

  10. I’ve recently purchased the 101 irons and after a few rounds I can say I’m in love. The price, control, and forgiveness is what sold me.

First $500 includes 4-PW premium grips and premium shafts you can’t beat the price.

Second, these irons are very forgiving! Am a very average to below average golfer and my iron shots have never flown straighter. Of course there still is the possibility of a miss hit but much more limited.

I’d recommend these irons to any golfer trying to shave a few strokes off the game

  11. Love the channel. Bought these irons myself last summer. Wonderful clubs! I would recommend them to anyone in the 15+ handicap range.

  12. Really interested in getting a set of these irons they look great. Did you wait long for them to get delivered? Good luck with them mate 👍🏻

  13. we've had two late blizzards in this part of Canada. Still waiting to get out and give my 101's their maiden voyage on grass. Hopfully, in another 2-3 weeks. They do feel great off a mat though!

  14. A friend bought these. I had the opportunity to hit them on the range. The top line is the thickest I’ve ever seen. Massive head, absolute cheap garbage.
