Rory McIlroy will look to defend his title this weekend, as the PGA TOUR returns to St George’s Golf and Country Club for the RBC Canadian Open. The course last hosted the tournament in 2010 when Carl Pettersson was victorious. Three years ago, Northern Irishman McIlroy beat the course record to claim victory finishing seven shots clear of second place. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler will be looking for a fifth victory this year, having narrowly missed out on another first place finish last weekend in a tense playoff with Sam Burns at the Charles Schwab Challenge. Other notable players teeing up include 2022 PGA Championship winner Justin Thomas, THE PLAYERS Championship winner Cameron Smith as well as Tony Finau, Justin Rose and Tyrell Hatton.

  1. Many books are out on how pro sports are rigged, or fixed. Golf is one of them according to those books and JT may have missed a few shots on purpose to insure Rory won.

  2. He’s in 2011 US Open form the way his irons & wedges are looking…keep an eye out next week 👀

  3. We are watching one of the best in the world if he puts his head down to do his job.

  4. Congrats, Rory! Those swings are just delicious and the sound–icing on a cake!

  5. In the modern era, if every player brought their absolute A game to 18 holes, Woods comes first and Rory finishes a close second IMO.
Watched almost every shot last night and enjoyed every minute. Justin Rose with a 60, Tony Finau grinding, and JT pushing all the way. Brilliant closing rounds and the PGA Tour has nothing to worry about.

  6. His putting has so much improved – yes most were short putts, but he has missed many that length over the years! Welcome back Rory!

  7. I was so mad at him when he miss that 2 foot putt. Rory was not always my most favorite golfer. But basically I got to see my three most favorite golfers in the final grouping. Rory don't leave we love you in the PGA

  8. When Rors is at his best… His tee to green is on a different level ⛳💯

There is still a world no 1 inside of him… somewhere

  9. So wonderful. He’s the best when he’s on it. Great stuff. I hope he continues in this vein. This reminds me of his iron play from 2010/11.
