  1. you mean like when guy had a paid plug when he said the ping G425 FW is the best ever.
yeah we never do paid plugs hhahahahahha

  2. Like these loads! I am working my 9 hole course, Break 36. Working on Iron Play and short game! Thank you Rick and Guy!

  3. Got to agree with Echos shoes. I’ve had a pair for a year and they are without doubt the comfiest golf shoes I’ve ever worn. My feet used to hurt near the end of a round but not anymore. Completely waterproof unlike other shoes that make the same claim. Only problem I’ve had is the soft yak leather, it creases very easily and quickly so if you’re looking for them to stay brand new for a long time they aren’t for you. If you don’t mind them looking a bit aged then they will last you for years.

  4. To the guy who wrote the Dear Rick
Within the last couple of years I got my girlfriend to start to pick up the game (her family plays so they did not have an issue getting her a set of starter clubs) my biggest rec to getting people into golf is to go out and ACTUALLY PLAY. Of course they need a swing to get around the course, but I have found playing a late 9 holes when the course is empty is the best way to go about it. My girl is VERY competitive, so she gets frustrated quickly. Make no quams with her picking up her ball or not wanting to play a certain hole. Just praise the good shots and don't offer much in the way of tips besides focusing on tempo, and staying in the shot.
    *BIGGEST TIP*
Make sure your significant other gets a nice course Hot Dog to start the round, my girlfriend refuses to play otherwise.

  5. Enjoyed the podcast.. but the question is why would Westwood want to play on the breakaway Saudi tour ???! Smells of greed to me … shame really .

  6. I won a pair of golf shoes from an unnamed golf brand which was perfect timing as my Ecco shoes were beginning to look a bit faded / tatty even though i've had them for 3 or 4 years (and still waterproof), the the shoes i won brought my feet no joy as they were so firm to walk in. I'm back in my Ecco shoes.

  7. Amazing as always guys. Love listening to these, the content is brilliant.
I can vouch for your Centre Parc’s video. I was there at the same time with my family 😁

  8. I love seeing both you guys playing golf. The chemistry you guys have on here translates to the course perfectly!

  9. Rick you gotta do a match with either grant or garret from good good golf… that would be a CRACKER!!! 🔥

  10. How about an ‘Iconic courses, iconic shots’ Break 75 series or episode to attempt recreations of memorable shots like Seve’s car park 9 iron at Lytham 16th or Nick Price’s 50 foot eagle putt on 17th at Turnberry etc. made even more special by using the clubs that golfer used for the round? Oh and get James Robinson involved too? Little bit of golfbidder action in the process?! 😅🤞🏻

  11. 🤣🤣🤣 I went to a christening at Houghwood years ago. While fairly pissed up 4 of of hijacked a buggy and went joy riding down the 18th. (Sticking to the path I might add!) We were quickly caught by the greens staff though 🤣
I also played it 3 years ago, yes, super hilly and a proper test!

  12. What a great episode! When it came to the scoring part I could really relate as a 4 handicap golfer! A couple of years ago I played a round at the Marriott Hanbury Manor and I was -6 thru 8 holes and thought it was finally time I was going to break par. I ended up shooting +4 😂🤦‍♂️ Luckily, I managed to shoot -1 few months later! 😄

  13. I lived 5 mins away from Close House, in the Army Barracks, and managed to play there 5 or 6 times. I agree it's a good course, but not as good as you are making it out, especially for the price per round. Matfen Hall is 10 minutes away and maybe lacks the exposure, but better when deciding on value for money.

  14. There's a problem with your talk about couples or families just going out to have fun on the course. Most actual golfers have issues when their rounds turn into a 5 + hour agony. I take it either of you haven't been in a 4some, waiting on a group or groups just fooling around on the course having fun. Those groups should stay with par3 courses, and stay off Championship venues. Just my point of view, but me thinks I'm not alone guy's..

  15. They need to make the shoes in larger sizes. I wear a 17 and only have one option in that size.

  16. Wanted to add something to your podcast concerning if Sandy Lyle should still be playing in The Masters: There are no Senior Tees on the PGA Tour or at Augusta National. If you can't hit it far enough, consistently enough to compete much less make the cut…then you shouldn't be playing

  17. Not saying there will be an influence but Ecco is aligned with Callaway, are they not?
On the spikeless traction topic, Coach Lockey (also an Ecco rep) does slip from time to time.

  18. I would love to see that Phil Kenyon video.
If you don't want to put it on the main channel, just put it in the podcast channel…..

  19. Best chips (crisps?) are Ruffles All Dressed. Hands Down. I have heard they did not survive the pandemic but if you can find them, you will never go back to any other flavor….

  20. Tried a pair of Ecco golf shoes on yesterday and I must say they were comfortable enough but for me there’s something out there better for me. I tried the ones Guy showed too but since I already have 2 sets of shoes I’m not compelled to try another. As an older golfer I use buggies so my shoes last awhile.

  21. I live within half hour of close house and would be more than happy to join for you if you want to sponsor me the membership fees 😂… those who don't ask don't get…

  22. Hi guy, thanks for showing your 17th hole putt, bit of an anti-climacks in the end, got the impression it was a gimme. As regards filming, would or could it be possible to to use the drone more, this by giving quick look of hole before played rather than looking at hole from ground level, suggest also to ocaganiolly have the drone 30 feet over Rick's swing to hole then follow ball flight to hole from said drone, so basically show shots from drone from back&side and trace/follow ball to green of fareway. But try to show ball&ground in in view in the same shot. I don't like the filming of golf on sky TV, especially showing a ball for 5seconds flying through the boring sky background, I think it would be better showing ball fly to green or fairway from drone with only ball&ground showing plus video zooming in to landing on green, hope I explained OK, keep up the good work boys.

  23. Enjoy the podcast v much. I think your transparency regarding the Ecco sponsorship and the philosophy behind it is excellent. I have noticed you seem to have had a series of guests both players and others that appear to be linked to the LIV Golf initiative backed by the Saudi Government. I also understand you are backed by Performance54 who promote Saudi golf interests. I think it would be great if you made some comments in a podcast offering the same type of transparency as to your relationships with these organisations.

  24. I bought Ecco golf shoes almost 2 years ago. I was so excited to see them on the market as 90% of all my work/dress shoes are Ecco's. I have been wearing them for years. They are the most comfortable shoe, and most comfortable golf shoe I've ever owned.

  25. So let me get this straight, Guy followed a guy to his white van in the parking lot? Did your mother teach you not do do that? 😂

  26. U guys will have to pop down the hill and play berrington and see how u get on. Think u will be ok with how long u hit it. Good challenge tho. Same slope as silloth.

  27. They need to bring back the Freddie Couples original premieres. Can’t find them anywhere except online and I hate not trying on a pair of shoes I’m going to be walking in a lot without trying them on.

  28. Lucky enough to live not far from Close House, play both courses on a regular basis, I can absolutely and fully confirm when you say how superb the facility is, it really is, the whole estate is so so nice, every box ticked, cracking podcast as always chaps, haven’t watched the vlog on The Colt yet (if it’s out ha) I will check and of course view, 👏 👏

  29. ECCO will

not close their business in Russia, so now you are supporting Russian killing in Ukraine

Hope you're happy with your ZECCO's Idiot
