    Happy birthday mate.
    Even the very best need lessons and coaching.
    A swing to me is like a rubiks cube, if one part is wrong and you try to fix it yourself , soon more parts are wrong.
    Too many times I hear people say they had lesson and game was worse.
    A lesson and instructions can seem totally alien, this is because the moves in the lesson are exaggerated, to drill it in, perseverance is the key.
    Its not instant fix.
    Just like school, a lesson will only benefit with the work you put in.
    Its like taking one step back to take 2 steps forward..
    We see the best players in the world hit amazing shots, but we don't see the years of practice and discipline that led up to that shot.

    I know how you feel Liam. Ended 2021 playing my best golf, with my handicap down to 7.9. In January of 2022 I started a series of 3 lessons and now my handicap is 12.6. I finally feel like I'm on the way back to playing better, but it has been a painful 3-4 months. I knew what I was being taught was needed, and the right things to work on, but there is a period when making big changes when it goes all wrong for a while. Stick to it!
