Located just 20 minutes from downtown Tampa in the tree-lined residential neighborhood of Forest Hills, The Babe measures a modest 6,244 yards, but should not be taken lightly. Although both nines are par-35, the backside sports four par-4s in excess of 400 yards, providing a challenging course for golfers of all skill levels. This opening hole is short and sweet, offering most golfers a great chance to post a good number to start their round. There is a waste bunker on the right side of the fairway, just left of the large oak trees you see from the tee box. Make sure not to go right of there, or your ball will find a small pond. Big hitters can boom driver past all the trouble, leaving a half wedge into the large elevated green.
