Goldenboy CEO, Oscar De La Hoya has launched a scathing attack on lb of lb number one fighter, Canelo Alvarez. The pair who formerly worked together split in late 2020 following a high profile court case.
The Mexican world champion was apparently frustrated with finances and lack of control over his future opponents. The case was awarded in Canelo’s favour who then split with both broadcaster DAZN, and promotor, Goldenboy.
Since then, neither party has commented on the other. Until now. De La Hoya responded to an instagram post attacking his former charge. This has led to Canelo replying in kind.
So has De La Hoya cracked under pressure?
