Putting surfaces vary in different grass layouts and slope angles.
Some putting surfaces have hills and valleys, a circular nature, really steep, slope upward or downward, difficult pins placement( front, middle and back) and the greens can be fast or slow depending on the type of grass and cut
I work really hard on making lag putts. I don’t worry about short distances. I consider those to be gimmies.
Great putting skills help you save strokes and shot lower score.
