I’m sharing this previously unseen footage of Luke Donald’s Driver Swing (including slow motion with high frame rate) from my personal archive.
I shot this footage using my iPhone4, in 2011, when Luke was World Ranked No.1. Here Luke hits a couple of Driver shots for me -he typically hits up to 12 shots with his driver pre-game. This was on the practice area at Royal Cinque Ports, Deal, Kent, UK. Luke was practicing the week before The Open Championship, which was to eventually won by Darren Clarke, the week after. Although I’ve played countless rounds with Luke -a lifelong golf buddy of mine since our Junior Golf days- however this particular game was extra special, as Luke was, at the time, the best player in the world, and had recently become the first ever player to win both USPGA Tour AND European Tour Money Lists, in the same season!
You’ll have to watch the video to find out who won OUR match that day ;-P
If you’d like my unique insight into Luke’s Game, or Analysis of his swing -and how he was able to use it to play such insanely consistent golf -please don’t hesitate to connect with me!
