One of the most common errors for beginners and amateurs is reaching DIRECTLY back. I’m guilty of this too, and I have used the words “reach back” so many times in my videos. Technically, reaching back isn’t wrong but it gives the wrong impression. When we reach back, we reach behind us. When in actuality we need to reach out and away (still kinda back, too)! The three ways I recommend doing this are by:
1. Starting sideways
2. Keep the disc a few inches away from your chest (more than normal)
3. RELAX
