This is Part 2 of 3 on How to Attack a Volleyball for Beginners. Part 1 focused on the spike approach, and the link for that video can be found above. The arm swing for attacking a volleyball is very similar to the mechanics for serving a volleyball with a couple key differences. When we are hitting a volleyball, we want to make sure our wrist is loose to snap over the ball and we want to allow our arm to follow all the way through the range of motion. The attacking arm swing mechanics shown in this video will allow you to hit with height and power. When using proper technique, the risk of injury also decreases. At the end, you will find a couple tips on how to get the most of your arm swing to spike a volleyball with extra power.
