When you’re faced with a bunker shot, there are a few things you can do to easily get the ball out of the sand. First, move the ball to the front third of your stance.

Unlike what you’ve heard previously, keep your stance relatively square; opening it can create more problems than it solves.

Lastly, place a lot of weight on your lead leg – about 70% – to allow yourself to swing through the shot and make a full finish. Hinge your hands and use speed through the sand to get the ball out and onto the green.
