Hole 11, Par 4, 404 Yards
* (Pro Tips are from the Black Tees)*
The second longest hole on the course can be very tough, especially since it’s rated as the hardest hole on the course. There are a lot of obstacles that can come into play on this hole that one may not think of. A miss to the left leaves an almost impossible second shot to the green or even advancing the ball to the fairway in front of the green due to the tall trees and creek. A miss right is similar to hole 10, and could cause trouble with road traffic and the scorecard. A good solid drive in the fairway is a MUST on this hole to even keep your score close to par. This fairway works downhill with a lot of undulations making the second shot very difficult if you don’t end up with a good lie. A drive about 250 yards will carry down the hill to a flat approach shot that is very much preferred. The approach shot takes just as much concentration as the drive. A missed approach shot left leaves a difficult chip, and a miss to the right will result in a dropped shot. Everything past the creek in the fairway is soft and difficult to chip from, so it’s preferred to be on the green rather than short. Long is an instant dropped shot. This green is relatively easy, but give it the time of day to make the putt to keep a good score.
