Though not the “official” fight song of the University of Tennessee, Rocky Top has become as big a part of Tennessee Athletics as the orange and white of its uniforms. The song, written by Felice and Boudleaux Bryant at the Gatlinburg Inn in 1967, became a worldwide hit after being recorded by bluegrass legends the Osborne Brothers and later as a country hit for Lynn Anderson.
