Dave Stockton, one of the greatest putters in history, along with his sons David Jr. and Ronnie, some of the game’s best putting coaches, all have one thing that they say over and over: the palm of the right hand equals the face.
When you’re practicing, set up to the putt like normal and open the palm of your right hand against the grip. As you hit putts, you can feel the face and your palm be a team. If you feel any twisting, you’ll know that your palm is not lined up with the face.
