Joe Long showed composure over the renowned links in Southport to defeat fellow Englishman and good friend Joe Harvey, 23, in an exciting 36-hole final of The 125th Amateur Championship at Royal Birkdale. Both had an incredible run into the final and in a tense and close final, Joe Long was able to prevail. He will join the likes of Bobby Jones and Sergio Garcia to lift the trophy and will play in The Open, US Open and The Masters as a result of his win.
