Taking my Single Plane Golf Swing to a Hard Golf Course includes learning how to play smart. Nobody’s perfect. Thats why on great golf courses they require you to play smart golf by selecting the correct target lines and minimizing risk and maximizing reward.

Join me in this video where I complete my round at one of the most challenging golf courses – Oak Tree National in Edmond, Oklahoma. During this round I carefully select my target lines and eliminate big scores by playing the correct shots into the hole locations. Sometimes, playing smart pays off when you miss the shot – as I do on hole 17 – a very difficulty island par 3. I also miss a few really makable putts and I learn that my putting is still a work in progress.

The Single Plane golf swing is not a quick fix golf technique. It is a system, beginning at address, that simplifies the most important moment of the golf swing – impact.

Starting at address on two planes where the arms hang straight down at address, the Conventional golf swing is complicated. Because the arms are hanging straight down, a conventional golfer must lift the body into impact creating stress on the back.

This upward movement to accommodate the two planes is unnecessary.

The Single Plane Golf swing simplifies the golf swing by eliminating the need for the upward movement by starting and impacting on the same plane.
