Only two teams were on the minus side in the final week of regular season play. Compare that to the first couple weeks when everybody was on the minus side. It was a real battle as Sponge Bob Norris, Gary MIA Geraw, and Bob The Builder Young compiled a -6 to claim the Dumpster. Close behind at -5.5 was the team of Speed Bump Jette, Body Shop Dulude, Smiley Lussier, and Robistow Cruso. Oddly enough, the Crash and Burn co-winners, More or Les Johnson and Mr. Ed weren’t on either team as they compiled a -3.5. There were six guys who were -3.
Dave Robistow Crusoe, Andy Speed Bump Jette, Tim Body Shop Dulude, and Brent Smiley Lussier. These guys put up a valiant effort but fell a half point short of winning the Dumpster.

The winners this week were +16.5, two better than they had figured. Dan Recycled Teenager Favreau, Skid Mark LeClair, Gary Iron Man Deaette, and Dan Whiffer Babcock made up this team with Iron Man being the only guy on the minus side. Wally World Sweeney had a day, at +10.5, but he played on a team that was only +2. It was enough to give him most over, even as he was carrying Mr ED, Pat Curly Q, and Pistol Pete Columb , who has continued his downward spiral. Winners get $16.
That guy again, Rick Marsh Mellow, continued to make the biggest shot of the day as he won closest to pin at 10’ 4”. Payout was $53.
A lot of questions are being asked on who won the most loot in the League this year. Some are a surprise. Being on the most winning teams was a tie at three, shared by Skid Mark and The Frenchman St. Pierre. Marsh Mellow had four closest to pins, Pistol Pete and Mike Stewey Stewart won the most over points with two each. Stewey claimed the most skins with seven. On the less glamorous side, Winston with five Dumpsters and More or Les with three Crash and Burns led those categories. Two guys who tied with the most awards were Pistol Pete and Haulin’ Dahlin, each had 11.
There were six guys in the running for the Invisible Man but they managed to luck out on only one award. Larry Harley Wilson, BS Daudelin, Curley Q, Gimp Laplant, Shank Hemingway, and Greg Judge Rainville missed it by one. Better luck next year.

Very unusual skin situation this week. While seven guys birdied #7, nobody birdied #4. Five guys birdie the tough #8, but nobody birdied 10 or 11. There were three birdies on #17, all by guys on the same team. As a result, there were only two skins this week. Whiffer Babcock on #9 and Skid Mark on #18. They pay $26 each.
What has been a great season comes to a close next Tuesday with the three club competition. Who can forget the time that Stormin’ Norm Sarthou picked a lob wedge, a sand wedge, and a three wood for his clubs. I personally know because he was on my team and made less than half his points. Forty-five putts will do that. Or Stevie Zero Rocheleau who shot a 78, the only time he broke 80 all year. Stay tuned for the finale next week.
