PAYNE — Wayne Trace boys golf won its own Wayne Trace Invitational on Thursday, picking up a win by two shots over county rival Paulding, 150-152.
Brody Rosswurm and Maxton Williamson each shot 34 to earn co-medalist honors for the Raiders, with Grayson Sutton (37), Brock Knowles (45) and Owen Welch (45) rounding out the scoring at Pleasant Valley Golf Course.
Gannon Parrett (35), Tyler Goings (38), Tim Font III (39) and Owen Welch (45) led the Panthers to an impressive showing. Tyson Rieman shot a 37 to lead Miller City (165) to a fourth place finish. Antwerp was fifth of seven teams, led by Kyler Johnson’s 40.
Elsewhere, Wauseon picked up a tri-meet win over Fairview and Edgerton at Ironwood Golf Club, out-shooting Fairview 162-189 behind a medalist score of 39 from both Cayden Ruffer and Gavin Fisher. Jonah Shininger led Fairview with a 43.
