A way of determining the length of course that a player will enjoy is by multiplying the distance you carry a 5 iron times 36. If you hit 150 yds, then 150 x 36 = 5400 yards often the length of the average course from forward tees! In the case here 4800/36 = 133.33 yds. Each club measured up for mens' play from red/forward tees will have a separate stroke index and par rating, often not printed on the club scorecard but it will be programmed inside the club scoring computer. It is wrong for men to assume the ladies SI and par applies to their scoring from forward tees hence a 375yd hole is a par 4 and not a par 5, and a 229yd par 4 is in fact a par 3! Now in my mid 70s I play from forward tees and this has brought so much more pleasure to my golf rather than struggle from yellow or white tees that set me up with holes too long for my game, and carries that I no longer make. My WHI is pruned to a lower course handicap figure in senior competitions. Too many club golfers have never played their own course from forward tees, just try it out, it will give you another 10 years of enjoyable golf!

That last chip on 18.. golf in a nutshell…you will have come away feeling great ! If u had hit it to 40ft and 2 putted ..day would have seemed flat as you didn't break the record…but now all you care about is the chip !.. gotta love golf 😊

Oh, so close, Matt! Appreciate the effort, of course, and glad I got to watch it!
My youngest daughter, who, like all of us, is absolutely obsessed with golf, recently played her best round ever from her tees (total distance for 18 holes = 3,182 metres / 3,480 yards, par 71) with great pride : a 108, which is +37. I played alongside her, challenged by my daughter to only use 3 clubs plus putter (5i, 9i, LW60) and scored a 59 – a nice, relaxed -12. Haha. My daughter is 7, by the way. She started with HCP 54 in March and is already down to 44.
The next shortest tees are about 4,832 metres / 5,284 yards, par 71. I played those straight afterwards with my second-youngest daughter. She (11) has HCP 12.1 and scored an impressive 80, which is +9. I shot a 61 there, which is 10 under.
I’m just wondering one thing… how can an adult get so overly excited about achieving such scores from the little kids tees or junior tees ??
