A charity golf day has raised more than £30,000 to support hospice care.
The event, in aid of Oakhaven Hospice, took place at Barton on Sea Golf Club on Wednesday, July 15, and was supported by sponsor Frampton Estates.
Thirty-one teams of four took part, competing for the Oakhaven Charity Bowl and other prizes donated by businesses and members of the public.
Jill West, fundraising manager at Oakhaven Hospice, said: “Thank you to everyone who supported our golf day, in particular our volunteers and Barton on Sea Golf Club staff, without whom this popular event could not take place.

“We would like to thank the event sponsors, Frampton Estates, and also Drain & Plumbing Solutions, Roof X Exchange, whose support helps to cover some of the event costs.”
Guests enjoyed a meal and an evening with guest speaker Bruce Grobbelaar.
Funds raised from the event will help Oakhaven Hospice continue providing care for patients and families across the New Forest, Totton, and Waterside areas.
The charity currently supports more than 650 people at any given time, both at the hospice and in their own homes.
Oakhaven Hospice receives just 11 per cent of its funding from the government, relying heavily on donations and fundraising.
