The Chaparral High School girls golf team represented Arizona at the PGA 2026 Girls High School Golf National Invitational, held July 11-13 at Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina after winning the Arizona state championship in October.
The team of Yuer Li, Sonia Hu, Phoebe Brethower, Mila Hu and Paradise Valley resident Lillian Broderick competed against top high school programs from across the country. The team was coached by Tammie Brethower.
While California’s Santa Margarita Catholic High School claimed the overall national championship at 20-under-par, Chaparral finished the tournament by winning the 2026 Sandhills Shootout on the final day.
